I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. We’re getting the snow that had been in the forecast. Ick. I don’t think it will stay long though. I’m hoping that’s it for snow until next winter. We’re having a nice quiet Easter weekend. We’ve got the wood stove on and a nice pot of tea brewing and I even made some crumpets from scratch for our brunch! I’ve been in a real baking mood lately. Anyhow, we really enjoy Jamie Oliver’s Eggy Crumpets and for some reason, I have a hard time finding crumpets in the stores here. So what’s a girl to do? Make them herself! LOL They turned out really well , if I do say so myself, and lookey what I did with them:

Ok, just so ya know, this is not our wood stove, it’s Jamie’s.
I have to tell ya, these Eggy Crumpets are soooooooooo good! I served them with sausages and HP sauce, local Maple Syrup and some strawberries on the side made this the perfect Easter brunch! This will now become a tradition in our house! Click HERE for the recipe.
And, being the die-hard Jamie fan that I am (my Jamie at Home cookbook now has duct tape on it to keep it together!), we’re having another one his recipes for our Easter dinner tonight. My hubby and I didn’t feel like having a big meal of roast or ham or turkey and we decided we’d have Spinach and Feta Filo Pie and Rhubarb and Ginger Crumble with fresh whipped cream for dessert.
And now it’s time for some crafting! I always put it off but I think I’ll have a play day and get back to work tomorrow. I’ll be planning my classes for May and will be sure to let y’all know what I’ve got in store. I can tell you I’m planning a really cool non-card, non scrapbook class that I think you’re going to love! Every now then it’s fun to craft something fun for your home decor and/or a gift (Mother’s Day is coming up!). But before I plug in the hot glue gun, pull out my stamps and turn on the tunes, I have a special announcement to make, don’t I?!
I want to send out my sincere THANKS to everyone who left a comment and/or subscribed to my website since the new design was launched on April 1st. I’m glad to hear you love the new look as much as I do! Using random.org I picked the winner for my give-away and it is REGINA! Regina, you’ve won a Summer Smooch gift package! Email me with your address and I’ll get these goodies mailed to you on Tuesday!
And, because I have a special day coming up, I’ll be celebrating with yet another give-away! April 10, 2012 is my 10 year anniversary with Stampin’ Up! In fact, Stampin’ Up! is celebrating 10 years in Canada this month too! I signed up the night they came to Vancouver!
I absolutely LOVE being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator – those who know me know that goes without saying. I’m passionate about the company, the products and my customers. And I LOVE stamping! And what could be better than doing what I love for a living AND earning FREE TRIPS like the trip to Disney World that Stampin’ Up! is sending my husband and I on later this month! I am soooo excited! I worked so hard to earn this trip and I have my wonderful and loyal customers and Serene Stampers team of demonstrators to thank, for helping me achieve this goal. It really is a dream come true. I love Disneyland but have never been to Disney World – I feel like a 5 year old, waiting for Christmas…
