It Starts With a Letter
The letter is the heart of The Serene Post.
Each month, I sit down and write to you from my home here in Nova Scotia – sharing a little glimpse of life, the season we’re in, and some of the thoughts and stories I might share if we were sitting together over a cup of tea.
Your letter is tucked into an envelope along with a collection of little extras inspired by that month’s theme – something to read, something to enjoy, something to create with, and sometimes something to share.
And if you’d like to hear the letter in my own voice, you’ll also receive a private audio letter where I read it to you and often share a little more along the way.

What’s Inside Your Serene Post?
Each month’s envelope is a little different, but you can look forward to:
- A personal letter from me sharing a little glimpse of life here in Nova Scotia
- A favourite recipe from my kitchen
- A Serene Thoughts card with a little reflection to keep, tuck into a journal or pass along
- Two colouring pieces – one to keep and one to share
- A seasonal art card
- Beautiful paper pieces and ephemera to cut out and use in journals, cards or whatever you’d like to create
- A private audio letter where I read the month’s letter and often share a little more along the way
The monthly audio letter has become something so incredibly special – for both me and Serene Post members. It’s as close as we can get to sharing a visit together at the kitchen table.
Each month, I read my letter, but the audio letter gives me a chance to share a little more with you too – an extra story, something I forgot to write down, or whatever happens to come to mind while we’re visiting.
Pop the kettle on, pour yourself a cup of tea or coffee, and come have a little visit with me.

Your Serene Post membership also includes that month’s Serene Post Creative Collection – a coordinating printable collection inspired by the month’s theme.
Inside you’ll find beautiful papers, ephemera, sentiments, journaling pieces and other creative extras that you can print and use again and again.
Some months I’ll also share a relaxed creative video with ideas for turning those pieces into cards, journals, folios and other projects.
There’s no pressure to make everything – or anything at all. It’s simply there whenever you’re in the mood to create.

How The Serene Post Works
Choose the membership for where you live – Canada/USA or International.
Your Serene Post is prepared
Each month’s membership period runs from the 26th through the 25th. Your payment during that period reserves the following month’s Serene Post.
I send your happy mail
Your envelope is mailed from Canada during the first few days of the month.
Then watch your mailbox
Mail delivery varies by location, so your Serene Post may take a little while to make its way to you – which is part of the old-fashioned mail experience.

For my Canadian friends: the Ko-Fi membership site for the Serene Post processes memberships in USD, so your bank or credit card will convert the $13 USD membership to Canadian dollars at the current exchange rate.

A Few Questions You May Have:
When will my first Serene Post arrive?
When you join, your first Serene Post will be the next monthly mailing. Memberships received from the 26th through the 25th are included in the following month’s mailing, and I mail each month’s envelopes from Nova Scotia between the 1st and 5th. For example, if you join by September 25, your first envelope will be the October Serene Post.
Do you mail to the United States?
Yes! The Serene Post is happily mailed throughout Canada and the United States. Canada and U.S. members join the same $13 USD monthly membership.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! The Serene Post can travel to mailboxes around the world. International members have their own membership tier at $17 USD per month to help cover the additional postage costs.
How long does delivery usually take?
Because The Serene Post is real letter mail sent from my home in Nova Scotia, delivery times can vary. Canada and U.S. envelopes can take approximately 3–4 weeks to arrive, while international mail may take approximately 2–6 weeks depending on the destination and customs. Part of the charm is knowing a little paper hug is making its way to your mailbox!
What is the Creative Collection?
Each month, members receive access to a coordinating digital collection inspired by that month’s Serene Post. It includes printable papers, ephemera, sentiments and other creative extras you can print at home and use for cards, journals, paper crafting or simply however inspiration strikes. I also occasionally share videos with ideas for using the monthly pieces.
Do I need to be a cardmaker or crafter to join?
Not at all! The Serene Post is first and foremost about the joy of receiving something lovely in the mail. You can read the letter, try the recipe, enjoy the artwork, listen to the private audio letter and simply tuck away the paper pieces if you’d like. If you love to craft, journal or make cards, you’ll have plenty to play with too — but you absolutely don’t need to be a crafter to enjoy The Serene Post.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. There is no long-term commitment. You can cancel your monthly Ko-fi membership whenever you wish. If you cancel, you won’t be charged for future renewals.
Can I give The Serene Post as a gift?
Yes! The Serene Post makes a lovely gift for someone who enjoys real mail, letters and little surprises in their mailbox. Ko-fi also provides the option to gift a membership, so you can send someone their own monthly paper hug.

The Magic of October 🎃🍂
This month, we’re taking a little trip back to the magic of October in the 1970s and 80s — crisp autumn days, homemade Halloween costumes, pillowcases full of candy, caramel apples, Halloween parties and some wonderful childhood memories.
I don’t want to spoil the surprise because opening your envelope and discovering what’s inside is half the fun! But I couldn’t resist giving you a little peek at what I’ve been creating for October.
