day’ of the season, and it’s coming down steady. I’ve been awake since
3am (ugh) but I’ve got our cozy woodstove lit, coffee made and I’m going to snuggle up with my pooches on the couch this morning, and work on some of my Christmas gifts. It’s so pretty outside. Snow always gives everything a whole new look and feel to it, don’t you think?

| Rosey and Cooper love our window seat – it’s the perfect spot to watch the world go by! Cooper has not experienced snow before and you can tell he’s tryin’ to figure it all out! LOL Meanwhile, Rosey loves the snow and was already outside this morning, pushing her ball around. Such little characters, these two. |
I’ve also been on a pancake kick lately (LOVE pancakes) and I’ve made them three days in a row and we’ll be having them again for breakfast this morning! Hee hee! The pancakes I’ve been making are actually crepes. In England it’s common to find crepes on a menu, served with wedges of lemon and a sprinkling of sugar and these are my hubby’s favourite. My favourite way to have them is one of my Christmas traditions, started my Grandma and Grandpa Erickson, which we call Swedish Pancakes: crepes filled with strawberries and topped with fresh whipped cream. Christmas isn’t Christmas without these for breakfast (along with sausages and bacon). I’ll post the recipe for you (click on my recipe tab at the top of the page) so that you can enjoy them too!
I’ve got a whole lot of love to share with you ~ just in time for Valentine’s Day! I know it’s hard to think about Valentine’s Day when we’re still wrapping our minds around the fact that Christmas is only 25 days away BUT when you see the new stamps available today, you will see what I’m talking about! Hi Kathy! We do love this home – but home is always where your heart is, right? And our dogs certainly make our home a happy one (our cat too!). Make sure to try those pancakes (and the strawberries and whipping cream) – instant happiness! LOL 🙂
