Hi Friends! Today I was playing with my inks and water to create fun backgrounds for my cards. This technique is so easy and quite addictive too. Simply drag your ink pads across a glass mat, a piece of acetate or one of our window sheets. Mist with water and pull a piece of white card stock through the ink and let dry. I made quite a few cards that I will show you over the coming days, but here’s one using the Watercolor World stamp:
Measurements:
- Basic White: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, 3 ¾” x 5”, ½” x 2 ½”
- Basic Black: 3 ¾” x 5”
Instructions:
- Swipe Tahitian Tide, Coastal Cabana and Garden Green ink pads across Window Sheet. You want to have a row of each colour, one beneath the other, in any order.
- Mist the Window Sheet with water using Stampin’ Spritzer.
- Drag the 3 ¾” x 5” Basic White card stock over the water and ink to create background. Set aside to dry, or use the Heat Tool.
- Stamp world image onto the inked card stock using Versamark. Emboss with Copper powder. Cut each corner using the Very Best Trio Punch. Glue to Basic White card base.
- Stamp sentiment with Memento and place onto card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Enjoy the day & HAPPY STAMPING!
