Hi Friends! It’s hard to believe that 13 years ago today I signed up as a demonstrator with Stampin’ Up! – where does the time go? And believe me, I had no idea the amazing journey I was about to embark on. I signed up for the discount on the awesome products and as much as I would have loved to had started a business with Stampin’ Up! right from the get go – especially considering the company had just opened in Canada – it wasn’t the right time for me. I enjoyed introducing the art of stamping to my friends and co-workers and soon I had a few of them hooked and we began stamping together each month. I loved our girl-togethers and we had a blast. So this is how it continued for my first 8 years with Stampin’ Up! Fast forward a few years… I had moved across the country to New Brunswick and I hadn’t had much luck finding work that I enjoyed or that was worth the 40 minute commute into the city (we lived in a small rural community). So I decided to turn my Stampin’ Up! hobby into a business – it was sink or swim.
Since then I’ve earned the vacation each year and I’ve been one of the top 20 demonstrators in Canada and spoiled with the Founder’s Circle Retreats and so many other amazing experiences. Over the years I’ve made some incredible friendships and have traveled to fabulous places like San Antonio, The Western Caribbean, Niagara Falls, South Carolina and other fun spots. Next month I’m off to Hawaii – another all expenses paid vacation from Stampin’ Up!. Imagine, all this just from sharing my love of stamping (and glitter..hee hee) with others.
Thirteen years ago I would never had believed any of this would happen. It just goes to show that if you want something bad enough you’ll find the way to make it happen and all the hard work has so been worth it. Last year we moved to Nova Scotia and my business goals have changed and so has my life – which I’ll share a bit more with you later this week (it’s all good!). I’m so grateful for the blessings that Stampin’ Up! has brought into my life! Here’s to another fun year of stamping fun!!!
Enjoy the day and HAPPY STAMPING!
