SU new CLEAR stamps & Decor Elements ROCK!

February 13, 2010 1 Comment

Hi there! January was such an exciting month, with SALE-A-BRATION! For those of you that are not familiar with Sale-a-bration (SAB), it’s Stampin’ Up’s once a year biggest promotion – for every $65 (CDN) spent you will receive any SAB product for FREE! For $130 you’ll receive TWO items, and so on and so forth. For hostesses, this is over and above the benefits you receive for having a workshop! WOWSERS! Everyone is lovin’ the FREE products and hostesses are THRILLED with all the goodies they’re receiving for FREE! Thanks to everyone for their orders and for holding workshops! I just love demonstrating at workshops and meeting new friends and being able to share my love of stamping with STAMPIN UP! I’d have to say, it’s definitely one of my most favorite things to do. So if you haven’t yet been a hostess, or if you have and want to again, please don’t hesitate to contact me! If you want to get on the exclusive, once-a-year SALE-A-BRATION promotion, it runs until March 31st.

During a workshop this month I demonstrated not only the new products Stampin’ Up! has to offer but also the new CLEAR stamps! I had some questions about the clear acrylic blocks. You only need to purchase your blocks ONE TIME. The rubber images then stick on and peel off – so the blocks are completely reusable. FYI, the most popular sizes I’ve been selling are “C”, “D” and “E”. Most stamp images will fit within these block choices. I can’t believe I ‘converted’ as fast as I did to the clear stamps. While I’ll always love the wood blocks, I’m totally hooked on Stampin’ Up’s clear stamps! They ROCK! The image is as crisp and as clear as any SU image because the rubber is EXACTLY the same! And the bonus to the clear stamp sets – they cost LESS than the wood blocks (which are already such a great value)! Coolieo!

OK – onto some stamped cards I’ve made recently.

This card, and the similar cards below were made using scraps of DSP (designer series paper) and the new “Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die” (#117332) for the BIG SHOT and the “Sweet Pea Stitched Felt” pieces (#117266). Now, I’ll be honest with you – neither the above items appealed to me until I used them. I received the felt pieces FREE from SU as a gift (for completing the MY DIGITAL STUDIO course) and I LOVE THEM! I’ve sold many packages since others have seen and used them for themselves. Same goes for the Embosslits Heart. Until I used my friend and fellow demonstrator, Cathy’s, I had no idea how much I’d LOVE this adorable heart! And the heart punch fits inside it perfectly for a scalloped accessory!

The DSP is the new Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Pack in the Occasions Flyer (#117161) Isn’t it fun!?

I use the “Thank You Kindly” (#111700) stamp set constantly.

Also – SU has come out with some new items in their Decor Elements line that are wonderful! I especially love their ‘chalkboard’ images and had to get the new “Decorative Sign” (#119665) in the medium. Wayyyy cool!

As always, applying the Decor Elements is a snap! So, after removing some items off the wall and giving it a wipe down, I got to work (or play!?). I loved the final result! By the way, had I known what a bee’s nest my hair was, I would have brushed it. The photographer, aka my husband, said nothing. So excuse the hair. And as “PW” would say: “Just keepin’ it real.”

I’ve already applied the ‘post’. Now I’m adding the second piece that ‘holds’ the sign.

Rub, rub, rub. As you may have noticed, I am applying the Decor Elements on a paneled wall – not only does it go on well, it looks great!

Ready for the big unveiling – removing the last piece of paper backing is always exciting…

Voila! Ready for a message!

“Dinner will be served at whatever o’clock.” There’s a story with that. Certain friends of ours (no names mentioned, Lady & Mr. Richards) that constantly tease the hubby and I that we eat at crazy hours and that meals should always be served at 7, 12 and 5. We say “Yeah, whatever…!” Basically, as long as it’s not too late, we eat when we’re hungry. “They” think we’re still on “BC time”…4 hours behind NB!

Hope the above projects inspire you!

HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
