Stitched Shapes Framelits and Sneak Peek

November 15, 2016 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends. I couldn’t resist using one of the new stamp sets I received at the On Stage event, with the fabulous Stitched Shapes Framelits. And I do mean ‘fabulous’. I LOVE these framlets! Right now they are definitely my new favourite accessories. And I must say, they look so nice on my card:

I used the emboss resist technique with the “Oh So Succulent” stamp set (available Jan 4/17 for customers, Dec 1/16 for demonstrators – a good reason to join Stampin’ Up! and my “Serene Stampers” community!)  “Oh So Succulent” is also a 2-step stamp set, which is always fun. This was a quick and easy card to make – I hope you like it!

Supplies:
·
Stamp Sets: Oh So
Succulent (142992) available Jan. 4/17
·
Card Stock:
Always
Artichoke (105119), Basic Black (121045), Whisper White (100730)
·
Stamp Pads:  Old Olive (126953), Always Artichoke (126972),
Versamark (102283), Cucumber Crush (138324), Emerald Envy (141396)
·
Misc.:  Heat Tool (129053), Embossing Buddy (103083), White
Embossing Powder (109132), Wink of Stella Clear (141897), SNAIL Adhesive
(104332), Glue Dots (103683), 5/8” Organza Ribbon (114319), Subtles Enamel
Shapes (141679), Big Shot (143263), Magnetic Platform (130658), Stitched Shapes
Framelits (145372), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Stampin’ Sponge (141337),
Blender Pens (102845)

Measurements:
·
Always
Artichoke: 4 ¼” x 11” & 3” x 3”
·
Whisper
White:  4” x 5 ¼” (for layer) & 3 ¾”
x 5” (stamped piece), 3 ½” x 3 ½” (sentiment)
Instructions:
1.
Fold
Always Artichoke cardstock in half at 5 ½”
to create a base card.
2.
Wipe
embossing buddy over 3 ¾” x 5” whisper white. Use versamark to randomly stamp
from Oh So Succulent, omitting the top right portion. Sprinkle white embossing
powder over, shake off excess and set with heat tool.
3.
Sponge
Old Olive over images, then sponge some Always Artichoke. Wipe cloth over
images to remove the resisting ink. Sponge edge with Always Artichoke.
4.
Use
blender pen with ink pads to colour in the succulents. Add Clear Wink of Stella
where desired.
5.
Adhere
stamped piece onto 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White and wrap with Organza ribbon. Tie a
knot and use snail adhesive to adhere to card base.
6.
Wipe
embossing buddy over 3” x 3” piece of Always Artichoke. Stamp sentiment using
versamark. Sprinkle White embossing powder over top, shake off excess and set
with heat tool.
7.
Cut
out sentiment using oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits.
8.
Cut
out next larger size oval on the 3 ½” x 3 ½” piece of Whisper White. Adhere to
card front, top right corner, with snail. Use stampin’ dimensionals to adhere embossed
sentiment on top.
9.
Add
enamel shapes, as shown.

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
