I sincerely want to share this promotion with all of you – it’s absolutely incredible and I’m so excited about it that I seriously want to shout about it from the roof tops! Those who know me well, know that I would if I could! HA! Please share this promotion with your friends, families and co-workers who may also be interested and want to get in on this steal-of-a-deal.

This would also be a fantastic Christmas gift to yourself! I’ve already had one lovely lady sign up today, telling me that this was her Christmas gift from her husband. What a great gift! (What a great husband!) And it’s a gift that will keep on giving, with the discounts, the monthly Stampin’ Success magazine, pre-orders and discounts on the upcoming Occassions and Sale-a-Bration promotions (which I’ve already seen and they’re going to blow your socks off!), access to Stampin’ Connection (Stampin’ Up!’s version of ‘Splitcoaststampers’ – a forum FULL of samples, techniques, resources and even videos) and soooo much more!

Hurry – there’s only 13 days left to take advantage of this offer!

Last night at Stamp Club, I demonstrated some cards using the Brayer. A couple of ladies had recently purchased a brayer and needed to know how to use it. Now, let me tell ya, I am NOT an expert with the brayer. At all. But it’s fun! And we learn as we go, right? Here’s what we made (and all the ladies LOVED their cards!):

I TOTALLY cased this card somewhere on the internet and I can’t recall from where. I end up saving so many wonderful examples that I can’t remember where I found them. I’d love to give credit where credit is due – especially for such a lovely work of art – so if you recognize any samples on my page, please let me know who made them! The card above was made by inking Early Espresso onto the brayer and rolling it onto Crumb Cake card stock that was already put through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. Both sides of the paper look so pretty done up this way….

Here’s another example, using yellow cardstock and I used the ‘rock and roll’ technique for the circle flower image.

This is what the ‘raised’ embossed side looks like, once brayered. The stamp set, by the way, is the “Just Believe” stamp set (which I got free from Convention!). Love it!

This card was cased from the fabulous Debbie McNeil. I added the Merry Christmas banner.

This was another card that I cased and tweaked a bit. The brayer was used on glossy white cardstock, using Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede Classic Ink. The grass image is from the “Inspired By Nature” stamp set, as is the expression. The bird is from the lovely Hostess Level 3 set, “Peace on Earth” (yet another free stamp set from Convention!!!)

This card is not one of my favorites – but I wanted to show it to you anyways. We brayered the sky with Marina Mist and then Pacific Point Classic Ink. Using torn paper as a ‘mask’ for the ‘snow’ and another mask for the moon (I used the 1 1/4″ circle punch), we just moved the paper down and then sponged on the ink to create the snow drifts. “Lovely as a Tree” was stamped in Basic Black before the torn paper was moved off the card. The wolf image is from “Nature Silhouettes” and the reverse image was created simply by stamping on plastic, rub it on your cardstock, and color in any white areas with the Basic Black Marker. Want to see where I learned this? The Brayer Master, my friends, is Michelle Zindorff. She. Is. AWESOME. Click here to see the above card that I cased from Michelle’s tutorial. Then be sure to click on her other tutorials and be prepared to be AMAZED and DELIGHTED. I just know that she will inspire you too!

By the way, for all of my faithful blog readers, here’s a little heads up for you. Stampin’ Up! is going to be having a big Holiday Sales promotion, called the ‘Online Spectacular’ starting on November 22!!! It’s going to GOOD! Just keeping you in the loop! I’m off to buy my potatoes now. They’re what I’m going to be eating for the next little while because I suspect the rest of my money is going to be going towards more STAMPS! LOL Good thing my hubby LOVES spuds! He’s just going to think I’m spoiling him by having baked potatoes every night….*wink* It’s all about priorities, hey? Hee hee!

That’s it for me. It’s been a busy day on the computer and now I have stamp orders to sort and Thank You cards to make! I love my job.

HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
