Hi Friends! This is the time of year when we seem to gravitate to our ‘leaf’ stamps when we’re card-making, right? Last week I shared a card using the “Soft Seedling” stamp set and it’s the same set that I used on today’s card tutorial. I am going to be making a LOT of thank you cards over the next few weeks and I thought the “Beyond Grateful” sentiment worked perfectly with my card design. The Stampin’ Pastels are one of my favourite products for colouring and they’re so quick and easy too.
Measurements:
- Crumb Cake: 11” x 4 ¼”,
- Basic White: 3 ¾” x 5”, 4” x 5 ¼” (x 2)
Instructions:
- Fold 11” x 4 ¼” Crumb Cake card stock in half to create a card base.
- Glue 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White card stock layers to the front of the card & inside the card.
- Ink leaf image from “Soft Seedlings” set with Versamark pad and stamp onto the left side of 3 ¾” x 5” Basic White card stock.
- Apply Stampin’ Pastels to stamped image using Stampin’ Daubers (use chalk colours of choice).
- Place pre-cut rectangle decorative mask onto card stock and, while holding in place, sponge blue and purple chalk around it.
- Place rectangle mask design onto card stock, lining up with chalked outline from the previous step, sponge yellow and red chalks in centre with sponge dauber.
- Stamp sentiment & sponge edges with Soft Suede ink pad.
- Stamp splatter image from “ Daffodil Daydream” set using Crumb Cake ink pad.
- Glue stamped layer to the front of the card.
- Make a twine bow and use a Mini Glue dot to adhere to the front layer.
- Place a gem on the leaf to finish your card.
