“So Thankful For You” Card Tutorial

August 3, 2024 2 Comments

Hi Friends. If you subscribe to my newsletters and/or follow my Serene Stamper page on FB, than you will know that my sweet dog, Rosey, has been gradually declining due to age-related health issues. I’m heartbroken to share that my beautiful girl, Rosey Mae, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Monday. We found a wonderful vet to help her pass peacefully, and I was with her, giving love and kisses until the very end.

Rosey was an incredible furbaby, and I feel so grateful and blessed to have had her in my life for 14 wonderful years. I’ll be taking a few days to grieve, but I promise I’ll be back soon with more videos, cards and projects.

Your amazing messages of support have touched my heart more than words can express. THANK YOU!

In the meantime, I wanted to share a lovely card created by Josee Smuck for our Leaders’ Project Group. I absolutely adore everything about this card, especially the beautiful bright colors:

Supplies:

  • Stamp Sets – Bird’s Eye View (161436); So Sincere (162283)
  • Card Stock – Blueberry Bushel (145968); Full of Life 6” x 6” Designer Paper (163357); Basic White (159276); Pumpkin Pie (105117)
  • Ink – Tuxedo Black Memento (132708); Blueberry Bushel (147138)
  • Misc. – Blueberry Bushel Classic Stampin’ Pad (147138); Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (161679); Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (154897); Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (154883); Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (154885); Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (153112); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653); Unbounded Love Dies (163383); Paper Trimmer (152392); Paper Snips (103579); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755)

Measurements:

  • Blueberry Bushel: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White: 3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″
  • Designer Paper: 2″ x 5 1/2″  and  (4qty) 3/4″ x 4 5/8″

Instructions:

  1. Adhere the background Designer Paper to the card.
  2. Cut the Squares Designer Paper in strips leaving a little white on the top and bottom.
  3. Place the strips on the Basic White Cardstock in a way that it looks good. Adhere this layer to the Pumpkin Pie cardstock then add it to the card.
  4. Stamp the greeting on Basic White cardstock using Blueberry Bushel ink. Cut it out using the Unbounded Love Dies. Adhere it to the card.
  5. Stamp the bird using the Memento ink pad on Basic White cardstock. Colour using Stampin’ Blends. Cut it out using Paper Snips. Add it to the card using Dimensionals.

Have a lovely weekend and HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
