Sneak Peek!

April 8, 2011 Leave a Comment

Hi Everyone!  I wanted to show you some of the things I’ve been up to lately.  I’m currently preparing for this month’s workshops and classes – so you’re going to want to check out my Calendar of Events in the next few days, as I’ll be adding some VERY fun PRODUCT BASED classes! You’re not going to want to miss out on these classes – they’re easy with fun techniques that you’ll fall in love with.  We’ll be using the gorgeous “NATURE WALK” stamp set for the product based class.  These classes have been extremely popular and due to limited seating, sell out quick.  If time permits, I will put on a second class.  Again, details will be posted online within the next few days and will also be on my monthly newsletter.  If you would like to receive my monthly newsletters, click on the box in my sidebar.  My newsletters are full of ideas, tutorials, and lots more!

A few weeks ago we held our Quarterly Team Meeting and had a blast! One of the things we did was have a card swap. For the swap, I made the following card, using the new “Paisley Petals” Designer Series Paper and the new “Four Frames” stamp set. I am in love with both of these! They are sneak peek products that will be available in the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalogue and you can purchase them this month as part of the “Spring is Blossoming” promotion! After April 30th you’ll have to wait until July 1st to order them, so get them now so you can enjoy them early!

This card also uses the new “Strength & Hope” stamp set that will be available starting May 1st….and I have been using it non-stop since I received it (as a demonstrator you get to order product and play with them a month before everyone else can!).

Soooo pretty!  The “Strength & Hope” stamp set will help support Breast Cancer Research.  Shelli Gardner, our amazing Stampin’ Up! co-founder and CEO tells you more in her short video; click here to view it. I would love to have a stamping party with you and your friends, where I would demonstrated projects with this stamp set and we can all help make a difference by purchasing it!
For our team’s Quarterly Meeting, I also made this frame for show and tell.

The butterflies were made with my Big Shot, using the Paisley Petals designer series paper.  The Newsprint DSP was from the Holiday Mini. The frame is from the $1 store. And in case you’re wondering, the inspiring words are a sneak peak from the “Strength & Hope” stamp set, available May 1st.

Here’s a birthday card I made, using My Digital Studio (I am soooo lovin’ this software!).  I cased this card from one I saw online and I used my brayer to get the background ‘lights’ effect.  The stars are from the “Sale-a-Bration SO HAPPY FOR YOU” stamp set.

Finally, I’ve got an upcoming class this weekend, with my friend and fellow demonstrator Cathy O’Connor and this is a sample of the Vintage Brooches we’ll be making:

These are so popular – I’ve been seeing them in all kinds of magazines and they make great accessories for jackets, bags, belts, headbands and more.  And you can dress them up or dress them down, depending on the ribbon and ‘bling’ that you add.  Super FUN FUN FUN to make!

HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
