Hi Friends! I hope you had a great weekend! Despite it mostly raining, my Sweetheart and I got the garden all tilled and ready for planting. I can’t wait to get all the veggies in the ground!

This year I’m planting carrots, beets, peas, beans, radishes, swiss chard, squash and cucumbers for pickling. I am also going to plant a small herb garden with basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano, and sage. It’s so exciting watching everything sprout and nothing beats fresh veggies for supper! I’ve also got rhubarb that’s ready to be picked and black currants that are growing like gang-busters. We live out in the country with lots of apple trees from old orchards as well as wild raspberries and blackberries all around the property. Yup – I’m a happy girl! LOL

Today I’d like to chat with you a bit about the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
Helping a sick child fight a serious illness or injury places a huge
emotional strain on a family. Add worries about finances and a family
can become overwhelmed. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) help
families stay near their hospitalized child at little or no cost,
allowing them to focus on helping their child heal, not on where they
will stay or get their next meal. I’ve seen first hand just how amazing the Ronald McDonald House is. I
have friends who had a very sick little boy and they spent LOTS of time
at the Ronald MacDonald House (in Vancouver). This is such an amazing
organization and I hope you’ll join me in making a contribution – and
helping others – by giving back.
Did you know:
families stay close to their hospitalized children. Our commitment to
RMHC is four-fold:
- Each year, we contribute $100,000 to RMHC. To date, we have
contributed $1.5 million to RMHC and their network of local RMHC
Chapters. - Each year, we design an exclusive stamp set and donate a portion of the proceeds to RMHC.
- We donate cards and other crafting projects created at Stampin’ Up! events to local Houses.
- We help organize teams of demonstrators to conduct activities in local Houses.
Did you also know that by purchasing our exclusive RMHC stamp set you’ll be contributing to this wonderful charity? Stampin’ Up! donates $3 from every RMHC stamp set sold. And there are only three days left for you to get your hands on the “My Hero” set (which is currently on the low inventory status!).

This is a great stamp set and it coordinates with: the 1 3/8″ and 1 1/4″ circle punches, as well as the Best Badge punch, Cupcake Cutouts Framelits, Layering Squares Framelits, Sweet and Sassy Framelits and the Umbrella Weather Framelits. Wow – how cool is that? If you don’t have any of these punches or framelits, that’s okay – you’ll still be able to create wonderful, all-occasion cards with this stamp set.
With your purchase of the “My Hero” stamp set, I will also email a step-by-step PDF tutorial for the following three projects:

Next month I’ll have another RMHC stamp set and project tutorial to share with you (psst: the new RMHC stamp set is super sweet and coordinates with the Everyday Jar framelits!)

month’s newsletter project was focused on the “Paper Piecing Technique”
which is so much fun (it always reminds me of paper dolls).
