Hi Friends! Are you ready for Christmas yet? I still have wrapping and baking to do. I’m going to wrap gifts today and tomorrow the baking starts! I’m really looking forward to it – I love baking holiday favourites (shortbread, butter tarts, gingerbread, etc). I also have a few stocking stuffers left to get, but I’ll do that on Monday. We had a couple of special gifts hand-made by a local crafter who quilts. Yesterday I picked up the gifts and of course, took a thank you card with me. I used scrap bits of Designer Series Paper that were sitting on my desk, leftover from other cards. I was quite pleased with the end result:
This card only took me ten minutes to make. I simply adhered 1/2″ strips of DSP to a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Very Vanilla card stock, wrapped some Garden Green ribbon around it, securing in the back. Next, I glued it to a Real Red layer that measured 4″ x 5 1/4″ and put it on a Garden Green card base. The sentiment is stamped with Mossy Meadow ink (tying in all the colours of the DSP). A couple of stars and voila! A lovely Christmas card in minutes!
Supply List:
I received a Christmas card from a dear friend that made my jaw drop! She kindly directed me to the tutorial and I’m itching to make one. I’m going to film the process, because this interactive card must be shared! Depending on how fast my internet chooses to be today, I’ll have it posted on my youtube channel today or tomorrow. I can’t wait for you to see this card! Until then….
Enjoy the day & HAPPY STAMPING!
