Quick Cards with One Stamp Set & Markers

June 15, 2022 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends! I’ve got a new video to share with you today! The featured stamp set is one from our new annual catalogue called “Reasons to Smile“:

Reasons to Smile (cling stamp set) #159021

I have just been lovin’ these stamps and have already been using them a ton since I got them. In today’s video I will show you several variations of cards with the “Reasons to Smile” stamps, from simple to stepped up (four different techniques in total). I’ve also pulled in our awesome Stampin’ Blends Markers & our new “Deckled Rectangle Dies” for today’s cards too.

I call this the “Marker Swipe Technique” – soooo quick & easy!
This card was made the same way as the first one, but I’ve used the “Heat Embossing Technique” along with our Deckled Rectangle Dies.
The colours came out a little too dark for my liking, but still a good card over all (I was going for the ‘PRIDE’ colour scheme). This technique is known as “Joseph’s Coat”.
Heat Embossed Die Cut Technique
I made this card using the ‘leftover’ pieces from the previous cards!

Click HERE to see my previous blog post with a PDF tutorial for this card:

Joseph’s Coat Technique (which is also an emboss resist technique). I love the colours on this card!

Well, Friends, I hope to have another video for you soon – I can’t believe how long it’s been since my last video demonstration! Yikes! Our wedding planning, house renos and gardens are seriously interfering with my stamping! LOL Speaking of weddings, I WILL be sharing another video for you in the next week, to show you how I made our wedding invitations, so stand by for that. I’m off to plant some more veggies in our garden and then enjoy some fresh rhubarb pie!

Take care & HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
