“Pattern Play New Years Card” Tutorial

Hi Friends! I hope you all had a nice Christmas! Ours was lovely, albeit very quiet and different than other years, as I’m sure most everyone can also relate too. We normally have a house full of friends and family but this year it was just my guy and I. We had his mother come over for turkey dinner on Christmas day, which was nice, but we missed having the big houseful of about 14 people over. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed Christmas – lots of phone calls and videos via our Alexa Echo Show, which is the next best thing! 

I LOVE all the Christmas lights – it makes everything so cozy!

Stockings hung for Brian and me, as well as one for ALL our fur-kids! I also realized my stocking is 42 years old – I got it when I was about 8…it’s held up quite well over the years LOL

Our kitchen also has a tree and lights around all the windows and cabinets! This is a VERY OLD DESK (over 100 years old) in my kitchen, that I love decorating. I’m going to turn this into a coffee bar after the holidays (especially as I received a Nespresso Next machine for Christmas, from my Mom – I’m in LOVE with it!).

These buns are a new holiday tradition for me – I first made them last year and HOLEY are they ever GOOD! They’re called Swedish Cardamom Buns. I made three batches so that I could also give some to my friends & neighbours – who were anxiously waiting for them, after getting some in their gift baskets last year! LOL

HAPPY NEW YEAR, my dear friends!

PATTERN PLAY NEW YEARS CARD

Measurements:

• Whisper
  White: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, 3 ½” x 4 ¾”, 1 ½” x 6”,
  scraps

• Melon
  Mambo, Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple
  Green, Coastal Cabana: 1/4” x 6” strips

Instructions:

1. Attach
   the colored strips to a 1 ½” x 6” strip of white.

2. Stamp
   confetti image in Versamark over the strips.

3. Lay the
   strips on the layer of white and trim to fit.

4. Add to
   card base with dimensionals.

5. Wrap the ribbon around card and tie in a bow on the front.

6. Crop
   2021 from scraps of white and add to card as shown.
