Have you seen the “Christmas Tree Paper Fold” before? If not, I think this pretty origami fold for your cards will delight you! It’s a super easy technique and uses only four different size squares which measure 3″ x 3″, 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″, 2″ x 2″ and 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″. Once you’ve got the folding down pat, you’ll want to make more of these paper trees! I’ve created a video tutorial for you with each step by step instruction, as well as lots of card samples – and an ornament too! Also, at the beginning of the video, I offer a little instruction on how to cut and layer card stock, which I hope is helpful for those of you who are new to stamping.
Card Layering Measurements:
- Card Base: score a piece of 11″ x 8 1/2″ card stock at 4 1/4″ & cut at 5 1/2″ OR scored at 5 1/2″ & cut at 4 1/4″ = two 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card bases when folded
- First card stock layer: 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Second card stock layer: 5″ x 3 3/4″
- Third card stock layer: 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
