Hi Friends! I hope you’re having a GREAT weekend! Today I came across a card that I had made a few weeks ago and I realized I hadn’t shared it with you! It’s a fun and easy card to make and one that I think you’ll enjoy too:
Card details:
- I cut a piece of Basic White card stock to measure 4″ x 5 1/4″ and used a wide post-it note to mask off the top half.
- Next, I used my Blending Brushes and ink pads to create the horizon/sky, letting the colours merge into each other.
- Once my sky was created, I removed the post-it note and covered the sky and then added blue ink with the blending brush to make the ‘ocean’.
- I cut another piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White card stock and ran it through my die cut/emboss machine using a diorama die. I glued it over top my sky/ocean layer and adhered to my 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (score at 4 1/4″ & fold in half) Mossy Meadow card base.
- I stamped the birds and sentiments using Black Memento ink.
- The die cuts were glued and the pebbles and sea glass embellishments finished the card.
- Note: the little fence was cut from a scrap piece of retired corkboard card stock.
This card came together pretty quickly and I love how it turned out. The Layering Diorama Dies were ideal for this card layout. Just a heads up, these dies are on backorder until March 28, 2022. If you don’t have these dies you could certainly use another shape!
