Night in Bethlehem Card Tutorial

Hi Friends! Today’s beautiful card was created by Jill Olsen for our project sheet group – enjoy the tutorial!

Supplies:
  • Stamp
    Sets

    –
    Night
    in Bethlehem (145282)
  • Card
    Stock
    –
    Crumb Cake (120953); Very Vanilla (101650); Basic Gray (121044);
Soft
Suede (115318)
  • Stamp
    Pads

    – Basic Black Archival (140931)
  • Misc.
    – Merry Music Specialty DSP (144623); Bethlehem Edgelits Dies
    (144676); Layering Circles Framelits (141705); Seaside Embossing
    Folder (141481); Linen Thread (104199); Paper Snips (103579); Mini
    Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108); SNAIL Adhesive (104332)
Measurements:
  • Crumb
    Cake: 5 1/2” x 8 1/2″ (scored at 4 1/4″)
  • Very
    Vanilla: 5” x 8 1/2″ (scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″) 3
    1/4″ x 3 1/4″ scrap
  • Basic
    Gray: 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
  • Soft
    Suede: 2 1/2” x 7”
  • Merry
    Music DSP: 1 3/4” x 5” 3/4″ x 4 1/4″
Instructions:
  1. Fold
    Crumb Cake card base on score line. Run through Big Shot using the
    Seaside Embossing Folder. Choose the 2 7/8” circle from the
    Layering Circles Framelits. Cut the circle out of the front of the
    Crumb Cake card base.
  2. Layer
    smaller Merry Music DSP piece on the front of the card. Tie Linen
    Thread around the circle cutout.
  3. Fold
    the largest Very Vanilla cardstock piece on the score lines. Stamp
    the sentiment and shepherd images in Basic Black Archival ink. Stamp
    Mary and Joseph with the donkey on the Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  4. Cut
    out Mary and Joseph on the Big Shot using the Bethlehem Edgelits
    Dies. Cut out the cityscape on Soft Suede cardstock using the
    Bethlehem Edgelits Dies. Trim the cityscape in half with your Paper
    Snips.
  5. Assemble.
    Adhere Mary and Joseph with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere
    back layer of the cityscape with SNAIL Adhesive and front layer with
    Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere Basic Gray and Very Vanilla
    square layers with SNAIL Adhesive. Adhere Merry Music DSP with SNAIL
    Adhesive.
