The new Idea Book & Catalogue is here!

July 2, 2009 Leave a Comment

I made this birthday card for my longtime friend, Ada. We’ve known each other since we were 9 years old and I can’t believe how fast the time goes. This card was made with my brand new Hostess Level 3 set ” Kind & Caring Thoughts”. I just love this set! It’s going to be used a LOT, I can tell you. Fun, fun, fun!

Hi Gang! The new catalogue has arrived and it’s WONDERFUL! My wish list is a MILE long! I seriously think this is Stampin’ Up’s BEST catty ever! You’re all going to thrilled when you see all the new stamps and products! That’s all I’m going to say about it … for now! I’ve been putting in some super long days as I’ve been working full time setting up our new “Hospice Shoppe” – an upscale resale experience supporting our local residential hospice. See more here. So I’m off to bed but I wanted to quickly update my blog to let you know I’ve not forgotten about my ‘blog’ duties (thank you, Cindy! LOL). Things will settle down for me once our Shoppe is all set up and open for business. In the meantime I’m also organizing and planning for my annual Hostess Appreciation Dinner on July 11th! 24 invitations have gone out in the mail – so look for yours if you’ve been a hostess with me – or signed up as a demonstrator in my group – between January 19th and June 30, 2009. More details are on my SU website.

Here’s some of the projects I’ve made lately, that I thought you might enjoy. I hope they inspire you to stamp and take some time to be creative.

This was a baby gift I made for my friends, Dave & Cherie. They had a beautiful little boy. The adorable slippers were made by my sweet friend, Shallon (thank you!). The tags read the birth date, time, weight, etc. The back of the frame has the defination and history of the baby’s name. I also crocheted the baby blanket – my first in a veryyyy long time!

Wrapped up and ready to go…

“Branch Out” – I love this stamp set but don’t have it – fortunately Rhonda does (and now Cindy) – so we can share!

Did you know you can stamp on your ribbon and twill? So many ideas, so little time… *wink*

Another gift. The body lotion set was packaged in an origami box that I had decorated with my jumbo stamp wheel and the gift card holder is simply an envelope folded in half, cut the top seal off on side, stick the other side down and voila! You now have the perfect size pocket to hold a gift card (Tim Horton’s in this case). I used the SU chunky glitter too – it’s sooo pretty!

Have you been to one of my PMS nights? Details are on my website. Last Sat of every month – potluck, music and stamping. This past PMS night stood for pizza (thank you Cathy), margarita’s and stamping. Shown in this photo is Cindy (standing), Lori, Cathy and myself.
Good times!

HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
