Monthly Card Class

March 15, 2011 Leave a Comment

Last night I had my Monthly Card Class – it was a lot of fun and a LOT of cards were made!
12 cards per person! Usually we make 3 cards each of 4 designs, but in yesterday’s class we made 2 each of 6 designs!

I had new stampers at the class, so I wanted to ensure they got to try lots of fun products! They LOVED it all and I think it’s safe to say that these lovely ladies are completely addicted! And yes, I DID warn them!

It’s hard to see the card that Tanya made…so here it is below:
This card uses the ‘Nature Walk‘ stamp set, currently in the Occasions Mini.

Also, Amber brought delicious treats – cream puffs (that were to die for) and Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies.

I’ve put the recipe for the cookies on my recipe page for you to enjoy.  They’re almost as addicting as stamping is.  I’m going to have to get on the tread mill and cross trainer today for sure – but soooo worth it! Thanks so much for bringing these goodies, Amber.  That was really thoughtful of you!

Here are some of the cards we made:

This stamp set “Happy Together” is a set you can get for FREE during Sale-a-Bration!
Offer ends March 31, 2011

Amber wanted her card to stand upright, with the Pinking Hearts border trim on the side instead of the bottom, so we quickly improvised the bird/flower image.  Turned out super cute!
I cased this card from Ronda Wade. It uses the ‘So Happy for You’ Sale-a-Bration stamp set, the crimper tool and punches – oh, and some rhinestones for some bling!

Big Shot with the embossing folders, flowers made with the Scallop Circle punch and the all time favorite “Sincere Salutations” stamp set (in Baja Breeze Classic Ink).

The Owl from the “Punch Bunch” Sale-a-Bration promotion is just so much fun to play with! I’ve got to find the googly eyes with the eyelashes, but I think you can only get them in the US.

A ‘cased’ card, using the ‘Just Believe‘ stamp set.  Classic.  This set is absolutely beautiful.

Amber LOVES butterflies, so she made this extra card which uses the ‘Split Negative’ technique, the new ‘Botanical Gazette’ Designer Series Paper, and of course, the Butterfly Wings Embosslit Die & Big Shot.

Tanya need a birthday card for her husband, who loves motorcycles, so I helped her make this one.  Gotta love tin foil and the Big Shot!  I bet he’s going to be mighty impressed when he receives this card!

Tonight I have my ‘Punch Bunch’ class and I’m really looking forward to it.  Also, I still have room for my ‘Big Shot Class‘ on Tuesday, March 22nd – I’d love for you to join us! Contact me at serenestamper@yahoo.ca to reserve your spot.

HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
