Lots to Love Box Tutorial

January 19, 2018 1 Comment

It’s hard to believe that Valentine’s Day will soon be here (wasn’t it just Christmas?). So it’s time to start planning special treats for the ones you love. Today’s project is perfect for tucking in gift cards, jewellery, chocolate, etc.

Measurements:

  • Melon
    Mambo: Box Base: 6 3/4″ x 8 1/2″

  • Gold
    Foil: 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″

  • Designer
    Series Paper: 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″

  • Whisper
    White: 2″ x 3″

Instructions:

  1. Cut
2 Box Framelits Dies from Melon Mambo. Use Bone Folder to fold on
    score lines. On inside of
    one
box add 4 3/4″ of Tear & Tape against the score line on the
    long side of the box.
  2. Stamp
‘You’re my Valentine…’ using Versamark on Whisper White, emboss in
gold and cut out with die.
  3. Adhere
DSP of your choice to Gold Foil and add embossed heart. This is the
front of your box. On the inside of the box take off the paper from
the Tear and Tape, turn the other box side upside down (so the
folded openings are opposite each other) and adhere the box
    together.
  4. Cut
28″ from both colors of the Love Mini Tinsel Trim, find the
center and adhere to the bottom of the box. To adhere use 3 Mini
Glue Dots in a row. Use the Paper Piercing Tool to lift & place
the glue dots in a row.
  5. Lay
the tinsel trim over the glue dots keeping them separate for best
effect. Bring the trim up the sides of the box and repeat the mini
glue dots on the sides at the top of each side to hold the trim.
Fill box with a Valentine surprise and tie a tinsel bow at the top
    of your box.

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
