Hello, my friends! 🎄Are you in a pinch to finish your Christmas cards? Today I’m going to show how I created 14 beautiful cards with unique background layers and a mix of current, retired, and upcoming Stampin’ Up! products!
A few days ago, I decided to revisit some embossing folder techniques I hadn’t tried in years. To my surprise, I couldn’t get them to work the way I wanted—likely due to the difference between the Big Shot and our current Die Cut & Emboss Machine (I’ll share this technique with you in the New Year once I’ve figured it out—stay tuned!). In the process, I ended up with several card panels that I had run through embossing folders and wanted to put to good use. That’s when the background techniques I’m sharing with you today were born!

In today’s video, I demonstrate several techniques to take your cards to the next level, including:
- Dry Double Embossing
- Magical Reverse Embossing
- Inked Double Embossing with Scraps!
- Emboss Resist Technique
- Faux Metal Technique
- Ink Block Technique
- And more!
I also showcase the 14 cards I made and speed up the process for four of my favourites, giving you quick ideas and tips for completing your own holiday cards in record time.

Make sure to watch the video all the way to the end, where I share more details of each card.

Here are some more card samples and videos showcasing techniques that I used on today’s cards:
- Faux Metal Technique
- Magical Embossing Technique
- Inked Double Emboss Technique
- Inked Block Technique
- Leftover Scraps Technique
- Joseph’s Coat Techniques
Wishing you a joyful holiday season, Merry Christmas, and Happy Stamping!

Dear Tina,
I just listened to your last Video and I’m surprised to hear a female computer-voice speaking in German. Wow!
Nevertheless, I prefer much more to listen to you, to hear your voice, in English, and train by the way my English.
I appreciate, that you did something for German speaking persons. And I can imagine, that they prefer to hear a german computervoice and understand, what is said than to listen sand understand nothing.
But your English is so good! So easy to understand, no heavy dialect. I really would like and want to hear y o u !!!
Please let me know, that it is possible, that I can still listen to you, to your voice and in English. And please tell me, how I can get your original speaking. To hear you makes it “alife” for me. To see you and hear this monoton computervoice is so awful for me. I really hope, that there is a way, that I can hear you personal! To hear you and your pleasure during crafting, your joy about stampsets and technics, that makes the difference.
This computervoice kills everything, that I liked so much by watching your videos and listen to you. It is no option for me.
Thank you for your answer!
Sonja Gehringer
Got it fixed for you, my friend!
