Inside Out Technique with Framelits!

Hi Friends!  HAPPY FRIDAY!  We have been enjoying a sensational Autumn here on the East Coast so I’ll be spending lots of time outdoors this weekend (ie. stacking firewood with my hubby!).  I actually hope to do a last lawn cutting for the season and get my flower beds tucked in for winter.  I still have cucumbers and beets from the garden that need to be pickled  – which I actually love doing.  So it will be a full weekend for sure.

I’ve had lots of wonderful comments about my “Inside-Out” Embossing Technique from the Founder’s Circle Retreat and also with my post on Frenchie’s blog yesterday.  It really is fun and if you haven’t seen this technique yet, you’ll definitely want to check it out – it’s super cool!

A list of all the supplies can be found by clicking HERE.

Just a heads up – as mentioned in my video, every Big Shot is
different so the thickness of your cardboard that you cut out with your
framelit could be different than mine.  I only needed 4 pieces for my
machine, but my friend, Frenchie, needed 7!  So just play with it until it works for
you.

Here are some more samples for you:

Festive Flurry Framelits with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder.  Sentiment: Special Season Stamp Set.  Snowflake image from: Snow Day Background verse: Evergreen Stamp Set

This was my Founder’s Circle Retreat Swap Card.  I used the “Labels Collection” framelits with the “Pretty Print” Embossing Folder.  The flower was made with the Flower Shop stamp set and coordinating punch, embossed with white and sponged with Summer Starfruit and then I ran the “Very Vintage” jumbo wheel in on top with Real Red ink (some swap cards were stamped with the Betsy’s Blossoms stamp instead of the wheel).

Pretty Print embossing folder with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  Stamps: Simply Sketched Hostess set and Gorgeous Grunge.

Pretty Print Embossing Folder with the Labels Collection framelits.  Stamp sets: Wetlands and Stippled Blossoms.

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
