I’m off to Texas!

January 17, 2012 Leave a Comment

Hi Everyone!  I’m off to San Antonio this morning, for the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference.

The theme is called “My Way” and we’ll be learning different ways we can operate our business.

I’m VERY excited!  I’ve also earned at spot at the Managers Reception (woo hoo!) which looks AMAZING! The entertainment will be the Chinese Acrobats of Hebei:

Check out the invitation I received in the mail:

All the details are on the Oriental fan!

How fun is that?  Stampin’ Up! sure knows how to get you excited and build momentum! I’ve signed up for some classes that sound great and there will be main stage demonstrations and so much more.  I also managed to make about 120 cards to swap with while I’m at the conference.  Card swaps are a lot of fun because you always come home from a Stampin’ Up! event with fabulous samples made by demonstrators to share with our customers.  The swaps are a great tool for me too because it gives me fun ideas to copy at my own events and classes! I’ll have all the cards I receive on display at my Leadership Recap/Sale-a-Bration Kick Off on February 11th.  I hope you’ll come! More information can be found on my website: Calendar of Events

I have been scrambling to get caught up with work after my Mother-in-Law’s extended stay but soooo glad I’ve got my swaps made! I used the new ELEGANT BIRD Big Shot die and the new LABELS FRAMELITS – both from the Occasions 2012 mini.  I. Love. These.  I made my swaps relatively simple but I’m quite pleased with how they turned out:

I also used the Aviary stamp set and the ‘Thanks’ from the new “Rue des Fleurs” stamp set.
You are going to fall in LOVE with the new stamps and accessories in the Occasions Mini!!!
Contact me if you have not yet received this mini – I’ll be happy to get one to you!  You can also view the Occasions Mini online by clicking HERE and start shopping HERE!
I also made some of my swaps into cards (swaps are usually just the card front).  I always carry Mini’s and cards in my purse to hand out.
At this year’s conference there is a contest for the best swap.  This is the card I’ll be entering.
I am also really anxious for Sale-a-Bration to start (January 24th).  The items you will get for free with every $60 spent are awesome!  I’m holding special private card classes called “YOUR CLASS, YOUR WAY” and I think you’re going to love this.  During the winter months a lot of people don’t like going out and about so I thought I’d come to you! Stay warm and cozy inside your home, invite your friends over, and spend a couple of hours stamping cards that I prepared for you! I’ll provide EVERYTHING, even the adhesive and envelopes!!!  You chose the theme of the cards and you chose how many cards (4, 8 or 12) that you and your friends want to make. I’ve still got some open dates but once Sale-a-Bration begins my calendar will book quickly.  So don’t delay, book your date today!  See my calendar of events for open dates during Sale-a-Bration, ending March 31.  If there’s a date you’d like to book that’s not on my calendar, let me know!
HAVE YOU SEEN MY BIRTHDAY STAMP-A-STACK CLASS??  Make 16 birthday cards!
Click here for more details – contact me to RSVP by Jan 23rd!
I’ll post while I’m in Texas to share news, announcements and photos!
HAPPY STAMPING Y’ALL!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
