Etch-a-Sketch Card

December 27, 2014 8 Comments

Hi Friends!  I hope you had a really nice Christmas!  Ours was quiet but lovely and lots of skyping with our family.  Yesterday we took a drive on the country back roads, behind our property (we still have lots of exploring to do).  Only five minutes from our house we made a wonderful discovery – a gorgeous lake!  So we took some time to walk around with our dogs and enjoy the scenery:
I can’t wait to go trout fishing and spend some quiet time here with a book –
but that’s going to be a few months yet…
I have a really fun card to share with you today! If you
belong to my “Stamp with Tina” facebook group (anyone can join) then you may
have recently seen my friend Melissa’s“Etch-a-Sketch” card, which was
absolutely adorable.  I loved it and
couldn’t wait to make one myself:

I used the “White Christmas” stamp set from the current Holiday Catalogue, which retires Jan. 5th.  So if you want to get this cute set you’ll need to purchase it before then via my online store HERE.

I stamped the images on vellum, backed with Saraha Sand
cardstock, just because I like the feel and look of it
.  You could easily get away with just using
Saraha Sand, or grey, card stock though.
You can see the slight difference in this photo (the card with deer
is with vellum; the car is just stamped on Saraha Sand
):

These cards are so much fun to make I promise you won’t be
able to stop at one, once you start making them
.  Then, if you’re like me, you’ll begin to look
through your stamp stash to see what other images would work well as an “Etch-a-Sketch”
card! I decided to try using “Life in the Forest”:

Ready to give it go? Here’s my video, showing you how easy
they are to make:

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

Serene is the word for this for sure. Love to watch and listen to that glockenspiel in the background. Great idea and I will make this for my "vintage loving" sister
    Thanks so much!!
