Hi Friends! If you love fun fold cards, I’ve got a great one to share with you today! Today’s card was inspired by Terri Gaines, and you can see her card on her blog here. My friend Karen Halverson (who’s also a member of my Serene Stampers community) sent me the link to Terri’s tutorial for this card, as a suggestion for our Mystery Stamping Hour. It was a HIT! Everyone loved it. The appeal of this card design is in its simplicity and letting the Designer Series Paper do a lot of the artwork. To finish you simply add a sentiment and any embellishments you wish.
Here’s the card that I made during our Mystery Stamping Hour this past Friday:

The one-inch side of the Basic White card stock is also embossed, which really dresses up this easy fun fold card. Of course, a 1″ strip of Designer Series Paper in a different pattern would also look great! I used the new “Butterfly Bijou” Designer Series Paper, which is my current FAVOURITE DSP. It’s only available until the end of this month or while supplies last! I’ll be stocking up, that’s for sure!

The sentiment is from the “Happy Thoughts” stamp set and cut with the “Stitched So Sweetly Dies”.

Here’s another version I made, again using the Butterfly Bijou DSP as well as the new “Butterfly Bouquet” bundle!

I couldn’t resist adding another butterfly inside the card – they’re just so pretty! The sentiments are from the “Peaceful Moments” stamp set and I used the Double Oval Punch to cut out the front sentiment and the Layering Oval Dies to cut the inside sentiment.
Here are the measurements to make this card:
- Cut card stock 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ and score at 3 1/4″ along the long side.
- Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 5 1/4″
- Basic White for inside card is cut to measure 4″ x 5 1/4″

I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’ll be back tomorrow with another card tutorial for you!
