Centre Accordion Fun Fold Card

October 15, 2021 Leave a Comment

HAPPY FRIDAY! I love Fridays because (a) they mean the weekend is here; (b) it’s Mystery Stamping Hour day! I thoroughly enjoy spending an hour each week stamping cards with members of my Mystery Stamping Hour group – we have so much FUN! The inspiration from everyone’s cards is amazing too! If you’re not a part of my group and would like to be, head on over to my Serene Stamper page on FaceBook and click on the GROUP button – I’ll be happy to add you! We stamp every Friday from 1pm – 2pm Atlantic time. You can stamp alongside us or make your card whenever it’s convenient for you.

The card fold I’m sharing with you today is the one that we made during last week’s Mystery Stamping Hour. Everyone LOVED it and had a ball making their own version. For my video demonstration, I used the Garden Wishes Stamp Set & coordinating Dandy Wishes dies. I also brought in the Elegantly Said Bundle, which worked perfectly with this card design.

Measurements:

  • Basic White: 6 ¼” x 4 ½” (two pieces) ; scrap piece for labels and die cuts
  • Early Espresso: 6” x 4 ¼” (four pieces) ; 11” x 4” (scored at 2 ¾”, 5 ½” and 8 ¼”) ; 11” x 2 ¼” (for belly band)
  • Designer Series Paper: 5 7/8” x 4 1/8” (four pieces) ; 3 ¾” x 2 ½” (four pieces)

*Note: I’ve not yet made a standard size card with this fun fold design yet, but plan to. I will simply cut my Basic White card stock to measure 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, my coloured card stock layers 5 1/4″ x 4″ and DSP 5″ x 3 3/4″. Then I’ll adjust the size of the belly band and the inside accordion strip (if needed).

Here’s the first Centre Accordion card that I made and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. This card has already been popped into the mail for a dear friend. I hope it makes her smile!

I used lots of die cuts and the colours in the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper are just beautiful:

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
