Birds of a Feather Christmas Card Tutorial – SNEAK PEEK!

August 27, 2019 1 Comment

Hi Friends! Here’s a sneak peek of a new stamp set coming out in the Holiday Catalogue, called “Birds of a Feather” – it’s ADORABLE! We also have new ‘puff paint’ coming out too. I used to use this YEARS AGO, when I first starting stamping and it’s so much fun to play with. The holiday catalogue begins September 4th. If you live in Canada and would like a copy just pop me an email at serenestamper@gmail.com.

Supplies:
  • Stamp
    Sets

    –
    Birds
    of a Feather (150571); Buffalo Check (147797/w; 151372/c)
  • Card
    Stock
    –
Whisper White (100730); Real Red (102482)
  • Stamp
    Pads

    – Memento Black (132708); Balmy Blue (147105); Real Red (147084)
  • Misc.
    – Real Red Combo Blends (147935): Balmy Blue Combo Blends
(148544); Dark Pumpkin Pie Blend (144577); Dark Daffodil Delight
Blend (144585); 2” Circle Punch (133782); Snowfall Accents Puff

  • Real
    Red: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored at 4 ¼” and 1” x 4-1/4” for
    banner
  • Whisper
    White: 4” x 5-1/4” and 2” x 5-1/4” and scrap for Circle

Instructions:

  1. Fold
the Real Red cardstock on half. Layer the 4” x 5-1/4” mat onto
    the front of the card.
  2. Ink
the Buffalo Check background stamp using Balmy Blue ink; tap off
lightly once and stamp onto the 2” strip of Whisper White
    cardstock.
  3. Stamp
sentiment at bottom of checkered strip using Real Red ink. Layer
    strip onto base card.
  4. Stamp
the chick using Black Memento ink. Color in using the Blends.
Punch out using the 2”Circle Punch.
  5. Shake
the Puff Paint well and *lightly* apply onto the Hat fur trim – a
    little goes a long way!
