Awesome Quick Cards Layout

May 11, 2016 Leave a Comment

Hello friends! I love the card layout that I’m sharing with you today! The idea is from Carrie Cudney, a trainer from our home office at Stampin’ Up! Carrie demonstrated this fun technique at our recent “On Stage” event in Salt Lake City and I think it’s brilliant.

Designer Series Paper is simply cut into 4″ x 4 1/4″ squares, then cut again on an angle, adhered to card base, stamp sentiment in middle and VOILA! Quick cards! I used the Botanical Blooms DSP and for the sentiments “One Big Meaning” stamp set (these are thank you cards for my customers). The Botanical Blooms dies made the perfect accents to finish the cards.  Check out my video below!

This is the bundle I used on the cards, which is offered at a great discount only until the end of this month:

I made quite a few cards last night but what was key to speed them along was having my flowers made ahead of time. I like to pre-cut my embellishments (in this case, I used the Botanical Thinlits) and keep them in containers, ready to go at a moments notice. This is a HUGE time saver. It’s also a great way to use up my scrap paper. Just pop in a movie, or put on some tunes, grab your punches and/or Big Shot and go to town! Here’s a photo of my Botanical flowers, all piled up and ready for my cards:

Imagine using different colours, different DSP, different
embellishments – this layout design is AWESOME with all the
possibilities!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
