Art in Bloom Card Tutorial

June 2, 2021 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends. If you’re like me, you’re more than likely still discovering ‘hidden gems’ in our new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. There’s a wonderful hybrid embossing folder that’s only included in the “Art in Bloom Bundle” and this is one ‘gem’ that I don’t want you to miss! We’ve never had an embossing folder like this before and it’s pretty darn AWESOME, not to mention BEAUTIFUL!

Art in Bloom Bundle #158368

ART IN BLOOM PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET
Build your own flower garden with the Art in Bloom Stamp Set. Stamp the delicate floral images on card fronts to create your own handmade cards. Stamp the line art images first, then stamp with the solid washed images to quickly add a watercoloured look. Add one of the all-occasion sentiments included in this set or another one of your choice; the images in this set will work with many sentiments.
* 15 photopolymer stamps
* Suggested clear blocks (sold separately): b, d, e, h

BLOOM HYBRID EMBOSSING FOLDER
One product, many uses. Use just the dies to cut images. Or use just the embossing folder to emboss cardstock. Or use them together to cut AND emboss at the same time! The delicate floral imagery looks beautiful on so many projects—handmade cards, scrapbook pages, and more. Try embossing a card front, then adding die-cut flowers in a different colour for effortless coordination.

* 1 embossing folder: 4-1/2″ x 6-1/4″ (11.4 x 15.9 cm)
* 9 dies: 3-1/2″ x 4″ (8.9 x 10.2 cm)
* Use with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine

The Art in Bloom Bundle includes the Art in Bloom Stamp Set and the Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder!

Our craft bundles make coordination easy. Stamp & tool bundles help you quickly cut out stamped images for a single project or create multiples of the same project with ease.

Here’s a beautiful card, featuring the “Art in Bloom Bundle”, created by Susan Morton (for our Leaders Project Sheet Group). Here is Susan’s tutorial:

Measurements:

  • Granny Apple Green: 4-1/4” x 11”, folded in half for card base
  • Basic White: 4” x 5 ¼” plus scrap for banner
  • Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum: 4” x 4”

Instructions:

  1. Use the embossing folder to emboss Basic White. Using Blending Brush lightly add Granny Apple Green to raised leaves. Stamp over the larger leaves using Granny Apple Green ink and detailed leaf stamp. Adhere the Basic White to the base card.
  2. Die-cut and emboss the Vellum flowers at the same time. The die fits into the embossing folder around the flowers (on the part of the folder with the Stampin’ Up! logo) perfectly to cut and emboss! Be sure the sparkly side of vellum faces YOU!
  3. Use a Blending Brush to add matching ink to the center of the flowers. Add the Vellum flowers over the top of the embossed flowers (on the Basic White) using Liquid Glue.
  4. Stamp sentiment in Granny Apple Green, cut out with the banner die. Add to the base card.
  5. Add gems as desired. Enjoy!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
