These cards were sooooo much FUN to make!!! To make them I cut strips of the gorgeous “Painted with Love” Specialty Designer Series Paper into 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ squares. I added strips of Fast Fuse adhesive to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card stock and then just placed the squares over top, trimming if needed, and glued to the card base. Then I stamped the sentiment from the “Amazing You” Sale-a-bration stamp set and cut with a heart from the Sweet & Sassy dies. The “You” is cut from Gold Foil card stock using the awesome “Celebrate You” thinlits, also from our Sale-a-bration brochure. A Whisper White Twine bow and a rhinestone (coloured with the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend Marker) finished it off.
This is also a great layout when you have lots of scrap bits of Designer Series Paper to use up – just cover the card stock layer with your scrap pieces (regardless of the size of the scraps) then trim or cut with dies. I’ve always loved this technique and have done this for years. Our double sided Designer Series Paper is also great for this layout because you can make an assortment of different cards in no time:
