Party Pandas Birthday Card Tutorial

Hi Friends! Here’s a cute “Party Pandas” card tutorial for you. This stamp set is getting a lot of love, that’s for sure. Have you gotten this cute set as your FREE sale-a-bration item yet? If not, you’re going to want it – it’s adorable!

  • Card
    Stock
    –
    8-1/2”x11” Thick Cardstock Whisper White (140272); Smoky Slate
    (131202); Basic Black (121045); Bermuda Bay (131197)
  • Stamp
    Pads

    – Smoky Slate (131179); Memento Pad Tuxedo Black (132708)
  • Misc.
    – Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (133324); Basic Black Solid Bakers
    Twine (141682); Smoky Slate ½” Gingham Ribbon (144231); Light
    Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends (145054); Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’
    Blends (144579); Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (144585)
Measurements:
  • Thick
    Whisper White Cardstock: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” 2” x 3-1/2”
  • Smoky
    Slate Card Stock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Basic
    Black Card Stock: 2” x 3-1/2”
  • Bermuda
    Bay Cardstock: 1/2” x 2”

Instructions:
  1. Score
    the 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” piece of thick white cardstock at 4-1/4”
    and fold. This will be your card base.
  2. Stamp
    panda using smoky slate ink all over the smoky slate cardstock. Add
    to card front.
  3. Using
    the scallop tag topper punch, punch the top of both the whisper
    white and basic black cardstock pieces.
  4. Stamp
    the panda on the white tag using memento ink.
  5. Color
    using Stampin’ Blends. Note: The smoky slate Stampin’ Blend was
    used to add just a touch of shading just inside the white areas of
    the panda.
  6. Add
    the two tags together using a 3” strip of the smoky slate gingham
    ribbon.
  7. Wrap
    a 6” piece of black bakers twine around the ribbon and tie a bow.
  8. Add
    tags to card front as shown in photo.
  9. Stamp
    greeting using memento black ink onto the strip of Bermuda bay
    cardstock. Flag the end and tuck behind the white tag.
