Modern Grid Technique Video and Snowflake Showcase Sneak Peek!

October 17, 2018 1 Comment

Hi Friends! I’ve been looking forward to sharing today’s technique with you! A couple of month’s ago I saw a wonderful card created by my friend Beth Norman-Roberts, which you can see here. I knew instantly that I had to give the technique she used a try. It’s called the “Modern Grid Technique” and sure enough, I was hooked with my first card:

I used the “Falling For Leaves” stamp set with my Stampin’ Blends Markers.
I love the bright colours on this card!
For my second card I used “All the Good Things” stamp set with Watercolour Pencils.
And here’s the card I created for today’s video:
I’m must say, I’m quite pleased with how this card turned out, especially as I literally designed it on the fly during the video! LOL

SNOWFLAKE SHOWCASE
Sneak Peek

Next month Stampin’ Up! will be releasing some GORGEOUS new holiday products! These items will be exclusive, available while supplies last and only during the month of November. As demonstrators, we’re able to pre-order new products a month early so that we can try them out and create with them. Well, holey moley, do I ever LOVE the “Snowflake Showcase”! Here’s a sneak peek of a couple of cards I made, using today’s “Modern Grid Technique” and the new “Happiness Surrounds” and “Snow is Glistening” stamp sets:

I embossed the snowflakes in gold and silver and then added inks with my aqua painter. See that gorgeous new Snowflake Trinket?! That’s a part of the “Snowflake Showcase” too!

I used Brusho on the Whisper White card stock and then set with my heat tool to dry. Then I stamped the snowflakes and embossed in white. I also used the Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker for the grid lines, instead of black. Finished the card by spritzing with Champagne Shimmer Mist Paint – it’s super sparkly in real life!

Customers will be able to purchase the “Snowflake Showcase”
products beginning November 1st.
Happiness Surrounds Stamp Set
Snow is Glistening Stamp Set
White Velvet Paper
Snowflake Trinkets
Snowfall Thinlet Dies
Items will only be available until November 30th, and only while supplies last (whichever comes first). Here are a few samples using this incredible assortment of products, which are fabulous for every occasion, not just the holidays:

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

Great video. I like the tip of cutting out the inside of your cardstock to use later. Your cards turned out awesome.
