Hi Friends! Yesterday I received a gorgeous birthday card from my sweet friend, Karen Halverson (also a member of my “Serene Stampers” community). Karen always makes the most beautiful cards and when I opened the envelope yesterday my jaw dropped! I’d never seen a “Diamond Easel Card” before and the birthday card Karen made me was stunning (my 49th birthday is today – I’m getting close to the big 5-0!). After I thanked her I asked Karen where she learned how to make this fun card fold and she told me she’d cased it from Susan Levasseur (a fellow Stampin’ Up demonstrator in New Orleans). To view Susan’s card and her video tutorial, click HERE. I watched Susan’s wonderful video and I knew I wanted to create a similar card for my aunt, whose birthday is coming up soon. So I pulled out my stamps, inks and paper and got creating (a great way to celebrate one’s birthday, if you ask me!).
I thought I’d also make a video tutorial, showing my own version of Susan’s card, using the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and “Free as a Bird” stamp set – I hope you enjoy it and give this card fold a try – I’m sure glad I did!
