Hi Friends! I’m excited to share a new video with you today! The technique that I demonstrate for you uses heat embossing and the emboss resist technique in a way you may not have seen before and the end result is super cool! The stamp set that I feature in the video is “Snow Front”, which is in our new Holiday Catalogue and it’s one of my very favourite new sets! I also used the new “Christmas is Gleaming” set on today’s card, for the sentiment.
This card turned out so pretty, I think, and it was such FUN to make! I love the added touch of the glitter for a little extra texture and sparkle.
I made two additional cards, using the same stamps and technique, to show you some of the other ways and looks you can achieve with the “Clear Emboss Focal Point Technique”:
For this card, I just stamped the versamark pad straight onto the card stock, giving me the rectangle shape to clear emboss. I used Night of Navy and Balmy Blue for the colours, sponging on a bit of Crumb Cake.
I’m not ‘in love’ with this card, but thought I’d share it none the less. I wanted to add an extra pop of colour, which is why I incorporated a bit of red card stock over the sentiments. The card stock I used is Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow – red is Poppy Parade.
Try this technique using different sets and background stamps – you’ll really enjoy it!
