Hi friends! There are days when you sit down with a plan… and then there are days when you simply start creating and see where it takes you. This was one of those creative stretches that I had this past weekend!

In today’s video, I brought you into my craft room as I created backgrounds using washi tape, Brusho powders, and stencils… and then over the next couple of days, those pieces turned into a full stack of finished cards.

I started by making simple tags using some beautiful washi tape, then created soft, textured backgrounds with Brusho powders and stencils.

Once my backgrounds were dry, I added stamping, texture paste, heat embossing, and die cuts… and it was so fun to see the designs emerge. It’s such a great way to create a whole batch of backgrounds in one go to use for cards, journals, tags, and more.

There was no big plan… just enjoying the process and using what I had on hand. I had a FABULOUS time playing and creating. And before I knew it, I had a whole stack of finished cards (and lots of leftover background pieces too!).

In the video below, I bring you right into the craft room with me so you can see the whole process unfold.
I didn’t include all of the cards here (there were quite a few!), but you can see every single one in the video above.

Using what I already had in my craft room was such a big part of this creative session… and I have to say, it felt really good.

I pulled out die cuts, stamps, embellishments, ribbons… even a few fun finds from the dollar store.
My craft room is full, and it was so satisfying to actually use those pieces and bring them together.

At the same time, it was really fun to pull in something new and fresh too.

The washi tapes added that extra little spark — they made the tags and card fronts come together so quickly and easily, and I just love how they look layered in with everything else.

What I loved most about this whole process was simply using what I already had.
You really don’t need anything new to create something beautiful — sometimes it’s just about sitting down, pulling things out, and enjoying the process.

If you’ve been needing a little creative time, I hope this inspires you to pull out your supplies and enjoy it — whether it’s all in one sitting or over a few days like this.
Have a wonderful day and HAPPY STAMPING!

I fell in the washi tape rabbit hole also! Lol They are fun to use or even just to look at them! I enjoy very much seeing projects made with those older stamps! So inspiring!
