“Punched Window | Reverse Spotlight Technique” with VIDEO

December 6, 2019 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends! Last night I held my monthly Stamp Club and the technique I shared was the “Punched Window / Reverse Spotlighting”. The gals LOVED it! This is an easy and fun technique with WOW results.

What I love about this technique is its versatility. While I used holly and flowers, imagine using little snowmen stamps or even different sentiments! You can also use different punches or dies for a variety of window shapes too. Instead of using neutral card stocks behind the punched windows, you could use Designer Series Papers, or metallic foil card stock or even glimmer paper!

Here is my video demonstration for you:

Here are a few more samples:

Here are a couple of cards using the “Floral Essence” stamp set:

Instead of stamping the flowers on Whisper White card stock, I stamped them on scrap pieces of coloured card stock:

I love the bold, bright look of these flowers!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
