Hi Friends. Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice weekend! I invited a few friends over on Saturday for a ‘Crafting Day’.

Each of us girls worked on what we wanted – Christmas cards, ornaments and gift tags. I put my holiday gift tags, from the October Paper Pumpkin kit, together – oh my goodness, they are beautiful! Now that my tags are finished, I can start wrapping up all my presents!
Yesterday I finished decorating the house and our Christmas tree – it looks so nice. I love turning all the lights on first thing in the morning and enjoying the holiday cosiness with my coffee!
I have so many special and sentimental decorations (as we all do) and that includes these “Softie Reindeer” that I painted years ago. My parents used to have a ceramic shop and my dad would pour the molds and fire them in the kilns and my (step) mom taught classes. She painted all the eyes on the reindeer for me – she was amazing at those eyes and eyelashes!
I love seeing all the reindeer sitting on the mantle and on the fireplace. I also have a set of mini Christmas reindeer in my kitchen!
Did you spot my ceramic Santa and the Christmas tree sitting on top of the bookcase? Those trees have gotten sooo popular again! The beautiful quilt was made and given to me by my mom – I just LOVE it. It’s so nice to have all these sentimental pieces around me – the love and memories connected with each one truly fills my heart.

Our kitchen, bathroom and recreation room downstairs are all in full holiday attire as well. Nothing beats a festive house to put you in the Christmas spirit. I am going to do a bit of baking soon too, which is something I just LOVE to do for the holidays. I know I’ll make some shortbread cookies, butter tarts and mini mince pies (using my homemade green tomato mincemeat), and maybe a few other goodies. Most of it will be for gift-giving, but I’ll be sure to keep a few treats for us to enjoy a well.

Instructions:
-
Fold
card base in half and set aside. -
Use
Real Red Combo Stampin’ Blends to color all the white blossoms on
the piece of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper then adhere on top
of the Basic Black card stock. -
Wrap
the Black Glittered Ribbon around both pieces and tie a knot towards
the right side of card panel. -
Using
Real Red ink, stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Very Vanilla card
stock. -
Cut
out sentiment for the “ornament” using the largest circle from
the Stitched Shapes Dies. -
Using
Momento Black ink, stamp leaves as shown to top and bottom of
ornament. Color leaves with Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. -
Punch
one tulip from the Vase Builder Punch from a scrap of Silver Glimmer
Paper. Turn upside down to create ornament hanger and adhere to top
of ornament. -
Fold
piece of Linen Thread in half. Adhere one end behind the ornament
hanger.

Center
ornament on card front and bring linen thread to the top and adhere
behind the top edge of the Basic Black Panel. -
