Hi Friends! I have been looking forward to sharing today’s video demonstration with you! First of all, the card layout is SO SIMPLE but so AWESOME! It’s a very common layout BUT it’s always been LOVED by those who have not seen it before.
Three strips of card stock (stamped or not) or three strips of Designer Series Paper, on a card base, slap on a sentiment and BAM! You’re done! What could be quicker than that?
This is a no-fail card design – they always turn out beautifully, no matter what stamp sets or card stock you use!
This is also a card layout that can be stepped up with embellishments, more card layers, die cuts, etc. For me though, I’ve been keeping it simple with my “Share Sunshine” Covid-19 Giveback cards!
These cards are also pretty embossed in metallics too – image doing this for Christmas cards! The heat embossing really takes this card layout up a level!
A bit of ribbon, a die-cut or a punch (such as these butterflies) are a sweet addition to these cards too!
These cards are really a lot of FUN to make. My video is bit longer than usual, due to me making so many cards. I hope you enjoy my demonstration:
Measurements:
- Whisper White Card Stock: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ folded in half to create card base
- Assorted Card stock: 5 1/4″ x 3 3/4″, once stamped cut into three strips that measure 5 1/4″ x 1 1/4″
I have been making a TON of these cards for friends, family, customers and even just to keep in my purse to pass out to those who a “paper hug”! There’s power in a card, my friends, and it’s pretty awesome. I’m also sending off a wallop of cards to my BF’s sister, who works at a hospital in Ontario. I know she will love handing these cards out to her co-workers, patients, and anyone else who needs a lift to their day and a smile to their heart.

I used a variety of punches and dies to cut out the sentiments (ie: Stitched Rectangle Dies, Layering Oval Dies, Circle punches, etc).

Fantastic work, Tina. Speaking of using up our DP, you know I'm a big hoarder because I love it so much, I tend not to use it. I really do need to use it up so I can buy new DP. LOL.
You sold me on this COVID set. I love all the verses you showed on your video with your very pretty cards.
Funny story. After one experience of me stamping thud thud, and waking Al up, I have been good for four years. He came out of the bedroom and said, "it sounds like you're having a party in there." I was using my Misti, but you my dear, were the one thud thudding and being cheerful. I guess I had the sound on too loud.
