Hi Friends. Today’s post is one of the most bittersweet I’ve ever written. After more than 23 wonderful years as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I’ve made the decision to step away at the end of this month. It’s a choice that’s been tugging at my heart for quite some time now, and though it’s emotional, I know deep down it’s the right one.
This journey began all the way back in 2002, when I bought the starter kit, the very first night that Stampin’ Up! arrived in Canada. At the time, I never could have imagined where it would lead – the friendships formed, the creativity shared, the incredible opportunities, and the joy that stamping has brought into my life. Over these two-plus decades, Stampin’ Up! has been more than a company to me – it’s been a community, a passion, and truly, a way of life.
And the most important part of that journey has been YOU. 💗 Whether you’ve been stamping alongside me since the very beginning or just recently discovered my videos and tutorials, please know how much your support, encouragement, and kindness have meant to me. Every card we’ve created, every class we’ve shared, every conversation and comment – they’ve all left a mark on my heart. This chapter of my life has been unforgettable because you’ve been a part of it.
I also want to reassure you of something very important: my Serene Stamper channel isn’t going anywhere. Stamping and paper crafting are such a HUGE part of who I am, and sharing that creativity with you is something I’m more passionate about than ever. You can still expect the same stamping tips, tutorials, techniques, and inspiration you’ve always loved – that part isn’t changing.
The only difference is that moving forward, I’ll be doing it outside of my role as a demonstrator. And honestly? That opens up so many exciting possibilities for the future. I have a lot of new things in the works – ideas, projects, and creative adventures – that I can’t wait to share with you soon.
I will remain an active demonstrator until the end of this month, so if there’s a favourite product you’ve had your eye on, or something you’d love to add to your collection, now’s the perfect time to place one final order through my online store before the month ends. (You can shop through my online store here.)

I couldn’t write this post without sharing a creative project, too – because stamping is how this whole journey began.
In the spirit of this new beginning, I created a card inspired by one of my all-time favourite designs from quite a few years ago – my “High Tide Sunset” cards:

I’ve always loved these particular lighthouse cards – not just because they’re simple to make yet deliver a big WOW factor, but also because of what the image represents. To me, a lighthouse has always symbolised hope, guidance, and the light that carries us forward. It’s a reminder that no matter how many chapters we close, there’s always something bright and beautiful on the horizon.
This design features soft ink blending – a simple yet awesome technique – and one that works with so many different stamp images, such as the card I made today using the Peaceful View stamp set. I paired it with a heartfelt sentiment from the retired Beautiful World set, which perfectly captures how I’m feeling as I close this chapter and step into the next.

Of course, I couldn’t resist pulling out my well-loved and much-used ‘Lovely as a Tree’ stamp set too – a true classic that’s been with me through so many projects over the years!
You can watch me create this special card – and hear more of my thoughts about this big decision – in the video below:

Before I wrap up, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for your loyalty, your friendship, and for allowing me to be part of your creative journey. The past 23 years have meant the world to me, and I’m deeply grateful for every single moment we’ve shared.
And remember – this isn’t goodbye. It’s simply the start of a new chapter. I’ll still be here, still creating, and still sharing projects, ideas, techniques, and inspiration with you. And next week, I’ll be sharing more about the exciting new direction I’m heading in – including new products and a brand-new channel that I think you’re going to love, especially if you enjoy cooking, slow and serene living, and maybe even want a glimpse into life here in beautiful Nova Scotia.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of my story – and for continuing the journey with me into this exciting next chapter. 💕
With so much love and gratitude,

Thank you for your fabulous projects over the years. I am also an ex SU demonstrator from the UK and I really wish you well. There are so many other companies out there making brilliant products some cheaper than SU as well and it’s good to not be forced to keep updating all the time. I feel SU has had it’s time there were too many changes for my liking and not so much back from the company in rewards for the small demonstrator with only a small team. Keep doing what you do best and find a new enjoyment and freedom in your crafting life. Thank you I shall continue to watch your channel with interest from the UK x
Thanks so much, Carole! I’m looking forward to sharing more stamping and papercrafting with you!!! xoxo
I have loved following you. Thanks for all the great ideas. Good luck on your next venture.
Thank you Ruby! I’m sure you’ll be inspired with all of the techniques and projects I have planned for my Serene Stamper blog & channel!
Have always loved your projects. Wishing you the best in your new journey!
Thanks so much, Anita! xoxo
