Hi friends!
I’ve got a brand new card tutorial for you today and I think you’re going to love it — especially if you enjoy using up your pretty paper scraps in creative ways. This is a two-for-one kind of card design that gives you two finished cards from one simple layout — using the gorgeous Full of Life Designer Series Paper and the Perennial Postage Dies.

I love these cards for so many reasons – they have a clean and modern layout, textured elements using the So Swirly Embossing Folder, a little pop of heat embossing for extra WOW, and they’re easy to create!

The “Paper Tags” stamp set is really fabulous – especially with the coordinating dies. For today’s cards though, I just used the stamps.

Of course, I’ve written out step-by-step instructions, supply list, and measurements for you so it’s super easy to follow along:
Measurements:
- Basic Black: 8 ½” x 11″ (score at 4 ¼” along 8 ½” side, rotate 180°, cut at 5 ½” to create 2 card bases)
- Scrap or Neutral Cardstock Panels: (2) pieces 4″ x 5 ¼”
- Full of Life Designer Series Paper: (3) 6” x 6” pieces, each a different pattern
Instructions:
- Fold Basic Black cardstock in half to create two card bases.
- Emboss the front of one card using the So Swirly 3D Embossing Folder. Set aside.
- Choose three patterns from the Full of Life DSP. Die cut one with the large Perennial Postage Die (approx. 4 ½” x 3 ¼”). Cut the centre from that same piece with the medium die (approx. 2 ½” x 1 ¾”). Die cut a third pattern with the smallest die (approx. 1 ¾” x 1 ½”). Adhere all three die-cut pieces to one of the 4″ x 5 ¼” cardstock panels: First the large frame. Then nest the medium piece in the centre. Finish with the smallest piece on top. Set this layered panel aside.
- For the second 4″ x 5 ¼” panel, glue leftover DSP strips across the surface to completely cover it. Trim as needed so the panel measures exactly 4″ x 5 ¼”
- Using the large Perennial Postage Die, cut out the centre of the striped panel and set aside the outer frame.
- Take the centre piece from the striped panel and emboss it using the butterfly postal image die from Perennial Postage. Adhere it to the front of your embossed Basic Black card base.
- Stamp sentiment in VersaMark Ink on Basic Black card stock, heat emboss in white, and die cut using a Stylish Shapes circle.
- Attach to circle die cut to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and embellish with Basic Rhinestones. This completes card #1.
- Take the striped DSP frame from Step 4 and adhere your layered DSP panel from Step 3 into the centre. Run the entire panel through the So Swirly 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to your second Basic Black card base.
- Stamp “You Are So Very Kind” in VersaMark on Basic Black card stock, emboss in white, and die cut with the approx. 2″ x 1″ Perennial Postage Die. Attach to card with Dimensionals and add Basic Rhinestones. You now have two awesome cards!

With that my friends, I’m off to fix dinner (leftover roast beef I made in the slow cooker yesterday) and enjoy a drink on the deck with my hubby and Mr. Cooper. I hope you’re enjoying summer as much as we are!
Take care & HAPPY STAMPING!
