Four Split Technique with “Textured Floral” Stamp Set!

May 17, 2024 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends.

Well, let me tell you, my dear hubby decided to share the cold he caught last weekend with me, bless his heart. It’s really knocked me off my feet, not gonna lie. I thought I’d shaken it by mid-week, but I was wrong. It’s been years since I’ve been sick. Whenever we even sense a hint of a sniffle, I’m quick to brew up my hot water, lemon, ginger, and honey concoction. Sometimes I even steep a garlic clove and cayenne in the lemon water—yuck, I know, but it works. However, this one snuck up on me.

As I’m typing this (Friday night), I’m feeling better than I was, so fingers crossed another good night’s sleep and hopefully, I’ll be right as rain this weekend. We’ve got great weather forecast for the long weekend, and I really hope I’ll be feeling well enough to spend some time outside in our garden and flower beds!

Since I was still moving pretty slowly today, with my energy about the same as a turtle, I decided to make some easy (but pretty) cards to pop in the mail. I chose to bring back an older technique I shared a while ago called the “Two/Four Split” technique, which you can check out here and another here.

I knew I wanted to use the “Textured Floral” stamp set, which I recently got and couldn’t wait to break in. This set and its coordinating dies had been on my wish list forever, so I added them to my “Last Chance” order while I could still get them as a bundle. I’m already in love with this stamp set!

I’m obsessed at the moment with our new 2024-2026 In Colors, so that’s what I used for the color scheme on today’s cards:

Speaking of our IN COLORS, our awesome starter kit promotion is still happening, with the FREE 2024-2026 In Color bonus gift! This is such an amazing offer! If you’re interested in SAVING MONEY on your Stampin’ Up! products, be sure to take advantage our starter kit and the discount that comes with it!

With a voice that sounds worse than a bullfrog, I decided to spare you and didn’t speak while filming today’s video. Trust me, you’ll be glad I didn’t! So, I hope you sit back and enjoy my ‘silent film’ demonstration, complete with some relaxing music.

Give this technique a try and have fun!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
