Hi Friends! Today I’m sharing an easy gift card holder, ideal for Christmas and any other special occasion. This is very simple to put together and works in both landscape or portrait designs.
MEASUREMENTS:
- Real Red Card Stock: 4 1/4” x 11”, 3 3/8” x 2 3/8”
- Basic White Card Stock: 2 ¼” x 3 ¼”, 4” x 2 ¾”
- Designer Series Paper: 4” x 3” (x 2), 4” x 2 ¾”, 1 ¼” x 4” (x 2), 1” x 7 ½”
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Along the 11” side of the Real Red card stock score at 3”, 4 ½”, 6”, and 9 ¼”. Fold on creases.
- Create the ‘mountain’ fold, which will hold gift card, as shown in photo below.
- Along the top of the ‘mountain’ fold, cut two small slits (approx 3/8” from each edge). Cut a line between these two slits to create slot for gift card. Add a thin line of glue along the sides and bottom to hold gift card (as shown in photo below).
- Glue 4” x 2 ¾” Basic White layer inside for sentiment.
- Glue the Designer Series Papers to front and back panels.
- Stamp/decorate the 2 ¼” x 3 ¼” Basic White card stock. Glue to 3 3/8” x 2 3/8” Real Red Card stock and set aside.
- Close gift card holder and wrap 1” x 7 ½” strip of DSP (can also use card stock) around, to create belly band. Glue ends together.
- Place a strip of Tear and Tape adhesive along centre of belly band. Remove backing and place ribbon on top.
- Glue stamped panel to belly band.
- Add a ribbon bow or knot to front of gift card holder.
- Finish decorating as desired.
For the above gift card holder I used a smaller piece of white card stock for the inside sentiment, with the Designer Series Paper for the background. I also cut the images for the front panel from the DSP. So cute! I know that I’ll be making these sweet little holders year-round when I have gift cards to give to my friends and family!
