Hi Friends! I hope you’re having a nice weekend! We’ve finally gotten some nice warm sunshine, but instead of being able to really enjoy it, we ended up reroofing our garage. All the rain we’ve been having had proved too much for our ole garage and the odd shingle we’ve replaced just wasn’t cutting it anymore. Of course, as Murphy’s Law would have it, the big job of stripping off the old roof and putting on the new became a bigger job, as the wood underneath also had to be replaced. However, it’s all done and now we’ve got piece of mind (especially with a hurricane looming in our forecast next weekend).
I’ve also been picking more veggies and I’m quite pleased (and grateful) for how well our garden has produced, despite the lack of sunshine. We’re supposed to have another full of week of rain ahead, so I’ll stay indoors and do my canning then, and spend a bit more time outside today. But first, I wanted to get this video done for you, as I had planned on having it up on my channel a few days ago.
I have been having such a fun time making these little wall hangings and I couldn’t wait to share them with you! They’re super duper easy and the possibilities of these sweet home décor pieces are endless.
The first wall hanging that I made features items from our “ALL ABOUT AUTUMN SUITE COLLECTION”:
Right now the papers, ribbons and embellishments in this suite are on backorder, but the “AUTUMN LEAVES BUNDLE” is still available! I absolutely LOVE these stamps and dies! If you missed my last video where I made cards with this bundle, click HERE.
I also made a Christmas theme wall hanging with the “ONE HORSE SLEIGH SUITE COLLECTION” and “CHRISTMAS CLASSICS stamp set:
Truth be told, I had actually filmed how I made the Christmas wall hanging, but I wasn’t sure that I liked it, so I ended up deleting that video!
When I showed the Christmas wall hanging to my hubby he really liked it, which made me think it didn’t turn out so bad!
The wall hanging that I demonstrated in today’s video, however, is my FAVOURITE of the three that I made:
The newly released “GRACEFUL DEER” stamp works beautifully with the paper from the “ONE HORSE OPEN SLEIGH” 6″ x 6″ Designer Series pack and the “AUTUMN LEAVES BUNDLE“…
During the filming of my wall hanging, my camera turned off while I fussy cut the deer (which isn’t a big deal – we all know how to cut out our stamped images) and also when I die cut my stamped DSP. All I did was place the curvy-edge die from the “GORGEOUSLY MADE” Die Collection across my paper and cut.
I hope today’s video gives you lots of ideas and inspiration and that you give these easy wall hangings a try – I am sure that you’ll have as much FUN making them as I have!

On the Christmas scene, it seems you used the Horse & Sleigh stamp of the skinny tree and matching die as a swag under the sentiment. Was this copper embossed on cardstock (color?) or DSP? How were the dotted highlights applied? Thanks.

Hi! I did use the Horse and Sleigh bundle and embossed in copper. I stamped over the copper embossing and embossed with white. I believe I used the “Perched in a Tree” stamp set for the white splatters.
