“Sunny Seasons Greetings” Card Tutorial

November 7, 2022 1 Comment

We have been experiencing quite a sensational fall season with lots of sun and temps in the 20’s – which is NOT common for this time of year! Yesterday it was 23′ and it felt like a beautiful summer day. Brian and I took Rosey and Cooper for a walk to the river so that they could have a swim and it was so nice. This past weekend my BFF Shallon and I spent a couple of days at Smith Rock Lodge & Chalets, which is our favourite place to have some R&R and spend some girl time (we live over an hour’s drive from each other so we squeeze in visits whenever we can).

We couldn’t have picked a better weekend to go away – the weather was perfect with blue skies and warm sunshine!

Shallon and I decided to make our annual getaway a Mexican theme for our weekend…FUN!

We wore mini sombrero hats, ate Mexican food that we made, drank Mexican drinks (margaritas) and played Mexican games and even listened to Mexican music!

Shallon and I wore our flip-flops the entire weekend. This time last year we had to light the wood stove in our chalet and wear our winter coats when we were outside – so this was quite the contrast. However, as of tomorrow, the weather is going to drop to only 5′ and the nights this week are forecast to be 0 and frost! So today I’m planting garlic and putzing outside in the yard because I suspect this is the last hooray before the wintery weather sets in. Yuck. I’m not a lover of cold, snow and ice. So to all my friends heading down south for winter (and those of you who live in warmer climates than I do), this fun Christmas card tutorial is for you!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
