Watercolour Marker Technique

March 1, 2021 2 Comments

Hi Friends! It’s March 1st and that means Sale-a-bration is officially over and it was AWESOME! I’d like to send out a BIG THANK YOU to all of my customers for your orders and for helping me have a successful Sale-a-bration promotion! Just a reminder that this year we will have a SECOND Sale-a-bration for the first time ever! Isn’t that exciting? It will happen in July and the Sale-a-bration brochure will be even BIGGER with MORE free products!

I realized this morning that I hadn’t shared a card that I had made with the “Corner Bouquet” Sale-a-bration stamp set! Even though this set is no longer available, I’m sure many of you received it during the promotion. So if you’re looking for inspiration, here’s my “Corner Bouquet” card:

I knew I wanted to use my markers and water on the stamps & the result was so pretty! I also used the “Floral Gallery Dies“.

The Floral Designer Dies coordinate with the Art Gallery stamp set and both are also available as a bundle with a 10% savings! Be sure to check out the Fine Art Suite too!

The “Just Want to Say” die cuts are super versatile and are ideal for your cards and scrapbook pages!

Supplies Used:

  • Corner Bouquet (Sale-a-bration) Stamp Set
  • Art Gallery Bundle
  • Very Vanilla Card Stock
  • Blending Brushes
  • Stampin’ Spritzer
  • Balmy Blue Ink Pad
  • Black Memento Ink Pad
  • Bermuda Bay Ink Pad
  • Gorgeous Grape Marker
  • Magenta Madness Marker
  • Gorgeous Grape Marker
  • Garden Green Marker
  • Mossy Meadow Marker
  • Water Painter
  • Sequins

Details:

I used the Blending Brushes to add Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape ink to the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Very Vanilla card stock layer. Then I coloured my stamp with the markers, lightly spritzed with water and stamped down. I also stamped the little flower image with Magenta Madness repetively, without re-inking. Before I adhered the die cuts I splattered on some ink using a water painter. A few sequins finished the card.

We have the most INCREDIBLE new product collection coming to you TOMORROW!

I have been like a kid with these new stamps, dies and paper – I haven’t been able to stop playing with them!!! My mind is SPINNING with all the cards and projects I want to make with this collection! All of the promotion details, including a new card tutorial featuring the “Butterfly Bouquet” will be posted here for you tomorrow!

Have a great day, stay well and HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
