Hi friends! HAPPY FRIDAY! Where has this week gone? Wowsers. Time flies when you’re having fun, hey? Tonight I’m off to my Friday Night Stamp Club (always a blast and guests are always welcome!) and then tomorrow morning I have my Prayer/Gratitude Journal class. The rest of the weekend will be spent working in our yard – we may even cut the lawn for the first time – and then I’ll be working on my Hostess Appreciation Dinner preparations. I have soooo much in store for that event and I’m bustin’ at the seems with excitement! This an exclusive event for my hostesses, club members and Serene Stampers team to show my appreciation for them – they are the core of my business! This year’s theme is Caribbean and I’ll be serving dinner to more than 40 ladies! There will also be gifts, games, prizes and more. I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!
I fell in love with this stamp set the moment I saw it! And the coordinating Cannery Framelits was just the icing on the cake! I grew up with homemade jams, pickles, relishes, fruits, chutneys, you name it. Store-bought doesn’t hold a candle to the yumminess of homemade canning. So this is something I’ve learnt to do as well, using cherished family recipes (I’ve added my favourite Spiced Pear Jam to my recipe page). I must say, I really enjoy the whole canning process – even though it’s a lot of work. It’s also incredibly satisfying to go down to our cold room and see the colourful jars of fruits and veg from our garden filling our shelves. They make perfect gifts too. So again, another set I’ll never part with! Here are some samples from my fellow demonstrators – I’m posting quite a few today, because I just love all the ideas and know you will too!
This is a card I cased and can’t recall where I saw the original. |

Last night I held my first “Hand Knit Card & Tag Class” at Cricket Cove (our local yarn shop in Saint John) – we had a ball! Most of the ladies had never stamped before and really enjoyed it. I’d have to say it was one of the most fun nights I’ve had! And the yarn and goodies in this happy little shop just had me drooling! I still have room for 3 more at my next class on May 30th – I would love for you to join us! Participants receive the “Hand Knit Stamp Set” – which is also retiring and will soon be gone forever – and the projects and supplies are free! Click here for all the details and to RSVP.
