Hi Friends! Thanks for stopping by! Today’s card is a real quickie but I like how it turned out. I simply stamped Crumb Cake ink directly onto the “Boho Chic” textured embossing folder and used that to ‘stamp’ the background. The rest of the card is pretty straight forward and all told it took only 5 minutes to make! Gotta love that!

Despite the fact that it’s a bit cool outside, it’s so pretty that I decided to take the photos of today’s card from my backyard:
It’s also been very windy the last couple of days and all the leaves are falling off the trees. The crabapple tree next to the cottage was loaded with apples just a couple of weeks ago and now it’s almost bare. The seasons can sure change quickly!
It was 1′ and frosty out this morning but the view from one of the many windows in the kitchen is one I never tire of:
Speaking of kitchen, I’ve got the last of this summer’s tomatoes (courtesy of my thoughtful neighbour) and apples from my trees simmering in a pot on the stove. I’m making a batch of chutney, actually called “Ketchup aux fruits”, a recipe I received over 20 years ago from a dear friend in Quebec (I lived there at the time). I adapted the recipe today simply because I didn’t have all the ingredients I needed – good thing I’m comfortable experimenting in the kitchen. I must say, the house smells DIVINE at the moment. I can’t wait to make my Grandma’s tourtiere (meat pie, traditional during Christmas, here on the East Coast) to enjoy with the chutney I’m making today. It’s also great with grilled cheese sandwiches, scrambled eggs, bread, cheese, meats. Oh my gosh, I’m making myself hungry! Must go…
Enjoy the day and HAPPY STAMPING!
