Quick Card Layout

November 7, 2015 1 Comment

Hi Friends.  I have another video for you today.  It features a REALLY easy and versatile card layout that is perfect when you need to make a card fast, or if you are going to make a lot of cards at once.  I needed to make thank you cards for my customers for their online orders (I appreciate each and every one of you!!!).  Sometimes even basic cards are pretty with their simplicity:

Now here’s a Christmas card I created, using the very same card layout, with a completely different look:

I used the Tree Punch for this card and I also ran the card base through my Big Shot using the “Lucky Stars” embossing folder.  It was fun to make this card and ‘step-it-up’ a bit.
By the way, can you tell which stamp I used for the tree? If you guessed “Sheltering Tree” you’re correct! I stamped it with versamark onto Cucumber Crush cardstock and embossed in gold. Then I lined up my tree punch and voila! Pretty clever, if I do say so myself – though I highly doubt I’m the first one to come up with this idea, but it only hit me today as I was making it.  Isn’t it fun once your creative mojo kicks in???

Have a great weekend and HAPPY STAMPING!

At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
