Watercolor World – VIDEO

January 23, 2023 9 Comments

I am excited to share a new card and video with you today. I used the new “Watercolor World” stamp set and the new “Greatest Journey Bundle”, both from our 2023 Mini Catalogue:

It’s never been easier to colour your world! Start with the Watercolour World Stamp and add the colours of your choice. The relaxed watercolour style lends itself beautifully to a variety of colouring techniques. Try inking the stamp in multiple colours using Classic Stampin’ Ink and Sponge Daubers or Stampin’ Write Markers. This large stamp covers the front of a standard-size card—all you need to do is stamp once and you have a card! If you want to do more, choose a favourite sentiment from another stamp set and customize your card for birthdays, thanks, thinking of you—whatever occasion comes up!
GREATEST JOURNEY PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET
Life is one big adventure—ups and downs and all-arounds. So celebrate your moments (big or small) with the Greatest Journey Stamp Set! This set includes six encouraging phrases to express your gratitude, joy, and friendship no matter where life takes you. And the versatile designs will give you plenty of room to set the stage for your adventure, whether that’s on a high mountain top or a spacious flowering field. You can create stunning cards, scrapbook pages, thoughtful keepsakes, and more with this uplifting and adventurous stamp set!

The techniques that I used on my card involved a bit of heat embossing and ink blending, and a few splatters of Wink of Stella and water to add to the background. Fun!

You will notice that I filmed my video differently – I’d love to know what you think of it! Please leave me a comment and let me know if you’d like to see more videos done this way.

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

Hi Tina, absolutely love this card!!! my one question is, after you heated the gold embossing powder, did you have to let it sit for a while before you did the watercolor technique? Thank you for your help Tina!!♥️

Hi Cynthia – yes, you have to wait until the embossing powder has melted and cooled, but it doesn’t take long. HAPPY STAMPING!

    Dear Tina,

you asked and here comes my answer: please no more video in this way.

What makes you special are your videos with your friendly introduction, your explanations to every step on the way, your expressions of how you like, what you are doing, how you make out of “mistakes” something – I really enjoy to listen to you, to hear your joy while you are creating your cards. I prefer your voice to that or any other soundtrack.
Your videos were great and personal, absolutly fine, you do not have to change anything.

    best greetings ,
    Sonja

I love the card & the video! I, personally love your video. The technique is well demonstrated & gives me more time to craft with less time watching videos! Gotta run – off to emboss a bunch of card fronts lol!
